Goodbye Apple

I like iOS7 personally.  I used to have a droid, and switched because after a year it was already running like my grandma.  She walks a little bit, and then needs a rest before having to restart.

I've had my iphone 4 for nearly 2 years now, and it runs pretty much the same as it always has.

I'm considering making the same move.  The last few 'upgrades' to the iPhone have been decidedly meh.  I have a 4, and it desperately needs to be replaced.  At first I was thinking about just going to a cheaper 5c, since the 5s doesn't really offer me anything compelling, and waiting for the next round...BUT...that's exactly what I did with this one.  So, rather than get stuck in a pattern of 'I'll just buy the cheapest meh phone, hoping that the next phone won't be meh,' this is a good time to see what the other side has to offer.  Will be very interested to see how you feel about the move in a couple of weeks.

so far so good. After I stripped away all of the unneeded apps and bells and whistles I was left with something really fast and easy to use. The speech recognition is unreal. I may never type anything ever again. Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers.

U enjoyed asking that didn't u?

I'm 6'2 with big hands

I also like long walks on the beach

Everything is just better than the iPhone 4s. Never tried the 5

Apple has been riding on the same old same old for the past six years.

They are clearly being passed by Samsung, yet still too arrogant and greedy to realize it, or even care.

Last year I decided the 4G was garbage so I went to a Galaxy S3. I love it....it took me two months to fully appreciate it but I agree the voice to text is superior in searches, maps and texting.

I like the Apple intergration but this Ipad Im typing on is a bit inferior to my phone. My phone plays flash without complex, unstable workarounds.

    • Gustavsson would be insane. I think we would have to break the bank to afford that move. Which, I don't think is necessarily a bad idea. Ultimately, Freddie isn't likely to be around more than a couple of seasons more. We can all agree that unless they have a fleet of sports psychologists working on Kochetkov, he will never be capable of getting his head on straight enough to compete.
    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
