Throw in Smitty for a 3rd as well while were at it...to make sure the new QB doesn't lock in on him.

Exactly my point.  A one-in-a-generation type QB makes the players around them better.  No one has to question whether they have enough talent to win.  Does Tom Brady have a bunch of big name WR's to throw to?  No.  He MAKES them big names.  Wes Welker was just some cast off from Miami until he hooked up with Brady.  Peyton Manning does the same thing.  Who the hell was Eric Decker, or Julius Thomas before they hooked up with Manning?  You put a Brandon LaFell on one of those teams and he's challenging for a 1000 yard season.

 

Eric Decker had 600 yards and 8 TDs with Kyle Orton & The Golden Calf of Bristol throwing him the ball in 2011, but lets not let facts get in the way of a good narrative....

Sounds kinda like Brandon LaFell kinda numbers...well save for the 4 less TDs.  Also, Welker had Brandon LaFell type numbers in Miami.  My point is, an average receiver becomes great with a great QB.  A WR like LaFell with Cam has still been...average.

That idea is literally the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

 

If an old Palmer went for multiple firsts Cam would go for even more...easily.
