Frank Alexander vs. Wes Horton/Mario Addison

Who Said What?

You know.. this thread sounds like the Josh Norman thread.   You know when the preseason hype was high?   Maybe the reason Alexander isn't playing is because something Alexander isn't doing well?  The doghouse doesn't apply if you play well.  There is probably another reason.

We have seen the obvious mistakes that Norman makes on the regular in zone coverage.  Alexander played solid in the preseason and made some plays.  That is the reason he reacted in week one, was because he was in the tackle's head and the guy swung at him.

What I am saying is, people use stats such as sacks, int etc to determine if a guy is good/getting better.  However a lot of times that doesn't take into consideration how well he played in zone, how he plays against the run, how does he handle adjustments, stunts etc.   I am saying that it's at least "possible" that the reason Alexander is playing much is the same reason Norman wasn't playing.  That reason being he may not fit what we are trying to do or not doing what the coaches expect of him.  We all like to say RR is clueless.  I mean there is definitely proof of that looking at our record that as a HC he may be in over his head.  That being said, he knows more about NFL defense than probably 99.9% of the planet.  Doghouse is not the only reason alexander is not playing.
