David O is one of my 5 fav directors at the moment. Reminds me of Alexander Payne with his writing and directing style and subject matter he tackles. I never leave those 2 directors films feeling dissatisfied. I laugh my head off and have some good tears and feel intelecually stimulated.

I just watched this last night in theater.. i was high when i watched so it was a little hard to follow towards the end, but it might have been me coming down.

Christian Bale was magnificent in this movie for sure, simply wonderful. I loved the throwback 70s look of the film.

 

Jennifer Lawrence nails the dirty/smoking hot/drunken/ex-wife role

Yep I saw it as well.  Fantastic movie.  

 

It was one of those that kept building and building.

 

Great music.

 

Bale was fantastic, Louis CK was hilarious, the whole cast just nailed it.  

 

I enjoyed how there would be incredibly tense moments that built up and then somehow things would be resolved/calmed down in the next instance.  Some of the best dialogue I've seen in a movie in a while.

      Watching games this year again and Bryce missed a wide open XL many times and some of them were in the endzone. I get the kid has mental lapses and hasn't broke out yet, but this is year three on a rookie deal! Cutting bait now is too early. If he hasn't gained anymore trust from his QB, posted any highlights, little production, or outright gets beat out then we can talk movement.

      Samesies   I truly may just cash completely out of Panther football if we give him a long term deal that isnt necessary.  I have watched NFL for 50 years now and I can without a shadow of a doubt say you cannot win consistently with BY.  Way too many limitations to deal with.   I may come back around in 3 years when the inevitable happens and all parties are either cut and/or fired.  Giving him a deal before this season so you hopefully can get him cheaper in case he "blows up" or if you truly believe that he will has to be the most moronic decision a gm can make when the evidence is laid before you with different players

      This is the one! I was at that game and all KB had to do was lay down on the corner after the pick or make an obvious tag while he was down. He had already ran a lazy route. Then if Cam would've just walked to the sideline like most elite QBs instead of trying to make the tackle.  A lot of people bring up the TJ Watt hit, but he just reaggravated a bunch of scar tissue from that play. And every Cam hater said that the running did him in and it was a dive tackle attempt on an interception that initially began the shoulder deterioration. He still went to New England later and would've got them in the playoffs had their A team not sat out the covid year. We quit on him too early. But hey how good was Teddy? Am I right?
