This is why I hate Thursday Night Games.

Thursday is fine with me.

Tampa bay has a short week also.

They are coming in on a low we are coming in on a season high.

You think if they get hit in the mouth they are gonna come back fighting for Schiano?

You think Glennon hasn't lost sleep this week nightmaring about this D.

You fuging think we dont owe Schiano one?

The week after scares me more. Its like a mini bi-week.

You all know how we do after bi-weeks.

For a league that continues to fine and suspend players, change rules and create new rules all in the name of "player safety" to schedule games 4 days apart is completely hypocritical and stupid in my mind.

Speak with the vast majority of veteran players and they'll tell you they're still sore and stiff from the Sunday game.

Speak with the coaching staff who usually is installing the game plan on Thursday, not getting ready to play again that night.

Thursday night football games suck balls. We can only hope nobody gets hurt because they're not physically ready to play on 4 days rest.

How many times have we seen teams, after an emotional win one week, come out flat the next week?

About the same number of times that we've seen teams come out flat after an emotional loss, or a close win, or a blowout loss, or any other scenario. When there are 256 regular season games you see pretty much everything relatively often.

I think that the team has known for months that this shortened week was coming, and have planned accordingly. We are on a roll, and with good preparation given the short week, the win shouldn't be a hard one.

Although, I could care less HOW we win, as long as we win. Bad football or no.

I do remember seeing a player quoted somewhere (maybe on the Huddle) about players' bodies not really feeling right until Friday or Saturday. Players are always hurt in some way later in the season, but that's especially true on Thursday. Players hate playing on Thursday, and I'm sure coaches hate getting less prep time for games. But if we're going to have to play on Thursday, give us a winless team.

This.

I'm more concerned about the physical aspect of Thursday night games than the mental one. Especially for vets like Smitty and Gross.
