He just came off an injury and suspension, so the article said he probably wouldn't fetch more than a 6th round pick. Not sure how good he was at blocking, but I know he was good at receiving.

Why are they getting rid of him then?

Rookie TE Reed showed out vs the Bears, so Davis is now expendable.

It would be good to have a 2nd TE receiving option. What yall guys think?

Oh my bad, jus seen it on 10 possible trade candidates on nfl.com.

 

Possible? Yes.  Probable, I think not.  Panthers will most likely not trade for anyone that has a suspicious gamble associated with them.  Especially character.  Wharton was injured but was a good soldier here in Carolina and a definite position of need so that risk was very calculated.  These other guys on the hippy lettuce probably arent being considered by Dave G.  Sorry

      Dave in a presser gassed up Anthony Tyus III and dying to see him on the field.  I mean 3 is all that needed right, and Dan loves etienne. He's one year filling in his body. If brooks is back, toss in chubba, thats 3.

      After seeing hits in the last two UDFA pools, I do not in this group sorta of a let down after I gassed myself up.  Not like I know of their games, but just expected more. The duke DT only has to beat out hunte (2025 UDFA) or Ray (DL coach's kid) or even Cam Jackson mid 2025 5th.  I thought they would bring in more edges, IOL, TEs, etc...

      My 2 favorite picks, since you didn't ask? 3. Brazzell II.  A 1000 yard WR with 4.37 speed and checks all the boxes for a Z Wide Receiver.  IN THE THIRD ROUND!!! 5.  Sam Hecht.  I think he will take over as the starter at some point this season and never look back.  IN THE FIFTH ROUND. Runner Up:  2. Hunter:  We were targeting a DT early in this draft because we did very little to replace Robinson in free agency.  Hunter was our guy and he will start. In addition to that, you got a starting tackle that should man one side of the new OL we will build for Bryce's second contract. A starting WR, offensive lineman, defensive lineman and possible Offensive tackle (at some point during this year from this draft will start.  UNREAL. In addition, I don't doubt that Wheatley (5th round) takes the FS job by next year and Lee III is Jackson's replacement in 2027.   Finally, even Kuwatch should be a special teams demon and LB depth.   Last year's draft was so good it was ugly.  This one will turn out to be uglier.  No offense Basbear--this ain't about you.
