Inside the NFL

So I was just watching the show and they started to discuss units in football. Not teams overall, but the units seperated by offense and defense.

Cris Collinsworth top five units were:

1: Chiefs Defense

2: Broncos Offense

3: Panthers Defense

4: Texans Defense

5: Colts Defense

It goes to show how much respect we are gaining. I usually don't care what the media says but it is nice to see our panthers being recognized as one of the best units in the nfl.

I'm hoping for a big offensive game from Cam and the offense. I think this will be the first national nfl game that cam will shine in.

I'm also expecting our defense to put up some stout numbers against a injury struck offense.

I think we get 4 sacks, 1 interception, and a forced fumble.

What our you guys anticipating?

Loddy Doddy EVERYBODY had better get used to the Media recognizing the talent that we have here.

We have witnessed a Dynasty being built, and we are about to begin our reign. The days of the "old Panthers" are over.

We are now going to witness more coverage and more respect. No one should be surprised, and it shouldn't dominate thread titles. This is what happens when you win, and so far we're only at 2 in a row. (Wait until we beat SF... The media will really lose their poo then)

I won't be surprised when <insert "Carolina Hater/Cam hater/small market hater" talking head here> admits that Carolina is way better than anticipated and here's why... When just months ago said talking head thought we were the 2nd worst team in the NFL... (Lol btw)

I'm embracing this change, it's what we've all been clamoring for since I've become a member here. Let's not ruin this awesome time with silly thread titles. We all pay very close attention to this team as it is, so guess what? More often times than not... Especially during the season, we already know or have heard what "so and so" has said.

Instead of creating hundreds of threads on the topic, just smile and laugh... And most of all enjoy the ride deep into the playoffs!

Speaking of Inside the NFL, I thought the clips of Luke missing tackles against the Rams, and then RR losing his sh!t and screaming at him and the defense was interesting. Never seen that side of RR before... it was scary. The defensive players were just shouting back "YES SIR YES SIR!"

Chris Collinsworth is in the lead in predicting game outcomes, and he clearly puts the most effort into the show. It's good to see that he's taken a look at our team, unlike most talking heads.

The Bucs worry me because they have a talented QB, decent defense, and nothing to lose. That means going for it on forth down, gambling on offense and defense, high risk high reward plays. Not good. We'll need to take some risks as well and blitz to keep their QB from getting into a rhythm. Send TD to scare the life out him on a few plays and he'll be hearing footsteps all night. Let him sit back there and he has the talent to carve up our weak secondary.

Stuff the run, send the blitz. A young QB isn't going to be good at recognizing the blitz when we shift players around.

Players would tell you they've seen it plenty

I appreciate the Panthers getting some respect and love from Inside the NFL.  Used to be my favorite NFL highlights show back in the day when Costas was on it (Chris Carter, etc.).  Don't know if they have a similar lineup, but I just have to say...and my homies who watch the games with me agree...

Chris Collinsworth is a giant douche...that is all...

I don't care if the score is 3 to 2 as long as we get that W!

 I like your thinking

That is how a fan whose eyes are on a bigger prize think. A "W" is a "W." The Offense have been the backbone of this team for two straight seasons and now that Defense is finally playing well, I hope they simply go out there and just think W.

    • I have more faith in XL improving than I do in Tmac being a true number 1 recuever
    • Round 1. TMac arguably the best WR in the draft Round 2. Scour ton mentioned as a possible 1st round edge.     Texas A&M did not use him the same way Purdue did. After the 2023 season he was listed as a first round grade. I believe had Texas A&M used him like they did at Purdue he never makes it out of round 1. Round 3 Princely Umanmielen, we'll go by Princely.  Another highly graded player we got in a lower round. As the video suggests, even if he plays only on passing down it's a positive. Give him a couple of years to develop a he could be a three down player.  Round 4a Etienne IMO a huge upgrade over Blackshear. I can see him in a similar role as CMC without the heavy workload. He can run in between the tackles and has some shifty moves. Give Canales some flexibility. A fellow huddler pointed out UGA running backs don't see the field if they cannot pick up the blitz. Really good pick. Round 4b Ransom a hard hitting safety that has played three different positions on defense. Great pick Round 5a Cam Jackson a massive NT in round 5. I believe a solid rotational pick in a lower round. We added a beast that could make offenses quiver when he's lined up with Brown. Great Value  Round 5b Evans This is another player that can block and has good hands. He also had better seasons before 2024. As a rookie he's probably leaps and bounds better than Ian Thomas. I think he gives us a three headed monster at TE.  Round 6 Horn Jr. Many believe he's just going to be a KR/PR player. I believe there are going to be packages for him to get on the field as a WR. His speed with TMac and Thielen in the slot could be special. I'm really looking forward to seeing him in training camp. I've watched some film and he is very explosive.  Overall I love our picks. I honestly believe all of them will contribute this season. I don't believe we reached on one player in this draft.  This weekend we get a small look at these rookies
