Cam and 1st downs

because he is a damn qb. rbs and wr might not score every game so they celebrate whenever they can. i just feel instead of celebrating for the 1st focus on the next play and reading the defense. yall act like im trying to take all the fun out. im talking about FIRST DOWNS damn

It takes all of three seconds for Cam to point for the first down. The ball isn't even spotted by the time he's done. What a buzz kill....

I don't have a problem with it if he has a great scramble, but doing it after a QB sneak is just silly. I don't see DeAngelo or Tolbert going out of their way to do a scripted first down celebration. It's their job and they understand that.

Cam can have fun without doing it - that argument is ridiculous. At some point he needs to start acting like he's been there before.

I dont want Cam to do it cause I dont want to hear the backlash and hate for it

Cam is better off being our beloved QB who everyone else hates. I think he plays his best when people dislike him and aren't on his junk

Actually Tolbert has just started a scripted first down celebration. Steve has his. Cam has his

Sure it does. He should be focused on the next drive not celebrating the 6 points he just plowed his way into scoring

Too be honest, my biggest disappointment from last night was no Tolbert dance. As soon as he ran over to the banner I said "no Mike what are you doing, you're supposed to dance dude"!

coming from the guy repping julius peppers smh

seriously, softy, are you sure football is even a sport you should partake in if you are this weak and sensitive?  i hear women's PGA is lookn for more fans, I think you would fit in there quite well.  Although, I hear they occasionally celebrate after making a putt so it may be too much for you, softy.

    • yeah, I can get a little of that.  But that's not what he is posting in his argument just now though.   He said people wouldn't even concede to the literal ability to do it when pressed on the literal ability.  I have never seen that.  He maintains it exists somewhere.  I mean, using anomaly games to make arguments about players just isn't the way.   There wasn't a defender within 10 yards of our guys on 2 of those 3 throws Sunday.  No one within 5 on the 3rd.   That's not Bryce Young answering questions about his play downfield..  That's Bryce Young taking advantage of coverage busts by a bad D.  Which hey, that's part of the game too.  Recognition and seeing the field.   It can't totally be dismissed.   That's still good play.  You want your QBs to make those plays.  But it's not getting into the long standing critique of BY IMO.
    • Deserved, I wouldn’t use that word. Asked for? For sure. Am I upset over it? No.  People forget that AT was throwing his helmet in frustration last season over his QB’s ineptitude. The same QB was pretty inept to start this year, no guarantee AT would have helped him in those games any more than he did last year.  Just sayin.  And Dan doing him a solid probably did not go unnoticed by players around the league. I think it increases his rep with potential FAs. It sure can’t hurt it.
    • You think that was the fault of the guy that was lighting it up or maybe the bums around him? Funnily enough, those bums are still being bums in his absence. Who would have thought!
