Mid-Season Super Bowl/Sleeper Predictions

Alright so we've seen a decent amount of games so far this year.  Where are you at with your Super Bowl predictions?

I was thinking Broncos v. Packers at season's beginning.

Right now, I'm thinking there is a team a piece in each conference that will make a leap come playoff time.

I also think the Lions and Bengals can go deep into the playoffs this year.

My current guess is a Patriots-Lions Super Bowl (And it's not just because of Calvin's big game)

No way the Lions can sneak past all of the Hawks, Niners, Saints, and Pack in the playoffs.

Pats are never a bad pick, but even though I really didn't wanna buy into the Denver hype at the beginning of the season, they look invincible right now. And then of course, the Chiefs have found a way to win every single game so far with Alex Smith at QB, so they have to be in the talks too.

I think they beat the Pack in 4 weeks and take the division.  They've got a fairly lite schedule.

Denver & KC still have 2 games between them.

KC still plays the Bolts twice and COLTS.  COLTS have proven to be giant killers!  (They love to beat undefeated teams!)

Denver plays KC twice and at New England yet to come.

COLTS play the Texans & Titans twice + KC + the Bengals!  (I can see 2 more loses in there.)

IF the Colts WR's step up in Reggie's absence, I can see the COLTS going deep into the Playoffs.

I could actually see the Bengals making it to the Super Bowl.

However, my pick for the Super Bowl is:

Denver vs New Orleans.  (Peyton Manning gets his revenge on the Saints! 38 - 21)

With Jake Locker back way earlier than previously thought, Tennessee has sleeper potential in the AFC (non-homer version). As for the Bolts, we're holding a lot of stuff together with duct tape, but if the staff continues to coach it's ass off, it might just hold.

The AFC is a complete crap shoot (the 5 seed hosting the AFCCG would not surprise me one bit), but right now I'd take Cincy.

As far as the NFC goes, people are fixated on SEA-SF and Green Bay is slipping under the radar. As they get healthier I think they may pass the Western teams and head to New York.

Saints v. Colts could be one that blindsides a few

I think the Saints-Broncos is the most likely match-up as things stand.

In the NFC, you'd think someone between the Saints, Packers, Seahawks, and 49ers will make it (The Panthers and Lions are looking damn good too)

AFC, we're looking at the Colts, Patriots, Broncos, and a possible Bengal surge? Maybe the Chiefs slump in division games and the Bolts surpass them.

    • I fully expect them to pick up his 5th year , and they're waiting for him to put a full excellent consistent season of QB play in year 4 or 5. If that don't happen,  they'll eventually cut ties.  Here's to hoping he just goes on a team in 2026. The worst thing he could do is continue to see-saw us to around .500 records because it might be impossible to replace him at that point unless youre willing to do the veteran qb carousel poo we did from 2019 to 2023.
    • What do you think of Bryce Youngs career thus far? Are you excited about his progress or is it not enough for you? I included a poll of ranking his performance through 3 years thus far.  I personally think he's made some decent progress. Has had some high moments (last half of 2024, Rams game, ATL game in 2025)  but in my mind, those are still outweighed by the many more lowlights thus far (ex turnovers, missed throws, poor decisions)  It's a very mixed bag for me. He's done enough to get a 5th year option but by no means should we lock him in with a 50+ mil a year multi year deal. I want to see him play consistently well for a full year before that happens (yes, I'm still saying that going into year 4. That might be telling).  Just sucks when you see CJ Stroud, Jayden Daniel's, Caleb Williams almost immediately lighting poo up with their arm talent. Maybe Bryce is just an ultra slow burn. I don't know what to think anymore. Guess we're gonna be stuck with him for a whilr unless we end up being bad enough to earn a high pick next year. I doubted it lol. Overall Stats for his career:       ● 14 W - 30L (regular season)       ● 0-1 playoffs record        ● 61.4% completion, 8291 passing yards, 49 TDs, 30 INTs  Year 1:       ● 2 wins, 14 losses      ● 60% completion rate, 2877 passing yards, 11 TD to 10 INTs, 5.5 yards per attempted pass Year 2:        ● 4 wins , 8 losses        ● 60.9% completion rate,  2403 passing yards, 15 TD, 9 INTs,  6.3 yards per attempted pass  Year 3:        ● 8 Wins, 8 Losses         ● 63.6% competition rate, 3011 passing yards, 23 TDs to 11 INTs  Playoffs         ● 1 game in year 3 ( 0 - 1 in playoffs)         ● 21/40 (52.5% completion rate), 264 passing yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.
