"Roger being Roger, I guess," Mitchell said. "To be honest, I think there is a little bit of a targeting system they have out. I think I'm one of the guys they'd been looking for, but I'm OK with that."

Mitchell said it was his fifth fine of the year, including the preseason, totaling close to $45,000. Asked where the fines went, Mitchell stared into a television camera and said, "Right in Roger's pocket. Right in his pocket. On camera, right in his pocket is where it's going."

I love it. Finally, a Carolina Panther player not afraid to say something to the press....

Get your checkbook ready, Mike.

he's an athletic and explosive tackler. sometimes that can be viewed as dirty, and in the case of mitchell, sometimes it is dirty. not always, though.

i wouldn't put him on the same level as a ryan clark, hines ward, or brandon merriweather, but some of his hits can be questioned. i think it's a more of a result of his nature as a physical, aggressive tackler rather than dirty intentions to hurt other players. merriweather is clearly a shithead, mitchell is not.

He will get another one for accusing Goodell of pocketing what goes to charity. But if his is fine with it I am too.

That money is not going to charity, at least the majority isn't. It gets rolled into Goodells paycheck and dispersed over the league so they can increase their ad revenue and make more money, but it absolutely is not going to charity. The fact they are so quick to fine players only proves they use the money for profit.

Ok, I'm not arguing either way. However they claim it does. That has been their official stance on it for a while. It would be a pretty big issue if they were saying one thing and doing another with something like that.
