5. Kenjon Barner will score a touchdown for the Carolina Panthers this week and even Madden programmers will be all, "Who is this guy?"

My point being that Barner hasn't shown much so far this year.  Granted, he has had his fair share of injury [what Oregon runingback doesn't], when will Barner have a "break out" game, e.g., 60+ yards of total offense and maybe a TD?

Those more in-the-know, how is Barner perceived by the coaching staff?  Well-liked amongst the players?  Further indiscriminate thoughts?

ETA:  Megatron would DOMINATE Primetime.  DOMINATE.

On the few times Barner has touched the ball, he looks very uncomfortable with it. The screen pass he caught in the Ariz game (I think) just looked so unnatural. Hopefully fits to his role soon, I want to love this guy for years on this team

edit: nevermind. just re-watched it. wasn't the arizona game

I would be surprised if he's active.

this.

i doubt he sees the field.

He won't play tomorrow, but he wasn't drafted for this year. We don't need him right now.

He will be wearing sweatpants and a t-shirt tomorrow.

With Dwan back, Fua might be the one in his street clothes.  Besides, Barner brings something to the backfield that no one else provides [and that is saying a lot] even if he is one dimensional right now.

Only way he scores is if he plays Madden.

    • The #Panthers explored the possibility of adding Jaire Alexander, but there was never an offer made, a league source told @theobserver.   https://x.com/mike_e_kaye/status/1935436577649401872?s=46
    • Yes I agree, the future RT could easily be christ. When he shocking re-signed here for the cheap, he said part of the reason was the OL coaching staff.  I've already thought too much about 2026. The RT has all the options, including resigning Motown. I was never a big fan, but he's solid and peptides and stem cells can fix a gippy knee. If he makes it though this year and wants to return, why not for 2 years 16 million?? Or like you said give the job to Christ or draft your RT...... that I feel is the best current method. With both OGs in the 20 million per cap range and Icky......ooooooooooo boy he could be the first 30 million per OLmen in NFL history. That's a huge portion of cap space for the OL, which I agree with, but in order to offset those 20 and 30 million deals... you need cheap rookie contracts. (unless Motown would take a huge pay cut and whoever the C will be).  This is the deepest OL I can recall in Panthers history.  I believe Morgan should try and trade either Kingston or Zavala.  I didn't even talk about Yosh, Tarquin, or Walton. Yosh is same age as christ and why not him as RT after good swing tackle years? Tarquin is a UDFA on the prayer program, 150,000 in guarantees and why not him in 2026? Walton seems to be a OL coach favorite, he followed the Tampa Bay staff here after 2 years there and add in one year here, he's stuck around for some reason. I think they need to spend very light on RT and Panthers have lots of options, I love it.
    • That better not be the case. They need to be ready week 1. The easiest part if their schedule is the first few fames
