So are the refs just blatantly biased now?

The no-call when Lafell got tackled on the fair catch was baffling. Someone needs to explain how that goes uncalled - I have never seen that before.

me and everyone else at the bar were all thinking the same poo.  The refs from this game should be FIRED.  Yeah we won but that was a disgusting showing... probably the worst at any NFL game ive watched, by the refs.

Yeah but on the Vernon Davis non fumble the head official: Mark Peria said that the refs need to watch this in real time and that a third step would show possession?! Whu?!

I like that Billick said "so Im confused, two steps and turn upfield is not a football move?!"...I think we got a new fan who was once a Cam hater.

I typically like hearing what Periera hasnto say but that was by far the most nonsensical thing I've ever heard him say.

ive believed for a long time the refs make calls or don't make calls to favor certain teams for certain games. And it won't ever be exposed because it involves money. If someone blows the whistle on it, that person and many others will not be making the huge money from it.

This was the first game this season where I seriously thought man.. these guys are paid off in some way. That Vernon Davis ball was a fumble NO doubt. 5 steps and a stiff arm and run toward the endzone... that was complete bs. I knew we wouldnt get any calls. The facemask by Colin was so visible they had to call that.
49ers are football royalty.. even today the NFL loves them and rides them like no other. I was so damn glad we beat them.

This deserves its own topic. Is it just me or are these refs incredibly biased towards the 49ers? Our guys have been held the entire game, the only flag coming when it didn't matter. It's like they are just blatantly calling an awful game.

They are blatantly missing poo this year worse than ever. I knew they would screw us on that call (check the game thread). I don't know the rhyme or reason, but I can tell you that something is up. Not sure if it has to do with vegas or money or whatever... or Goodell wants to see the major markets make it in the league... but that was a blatant screw job on that call and I was ready to break poo in half. And I wasn't shocked.

Last week on Sunday night football a similar blown call that was plain as day a fumble was overturned and awarded to Houston. Just feels like in certain situations the NFL is blatantly missing calls. And i think very easily the sport could be fixed in big games. That was plain as day a fumble and I would love to talk to the assholes who blew the call and ask them what is going on and put them on the spot. It's horse poo.

And Goodell, how does that shitburger taste big guy?

    • To kick this up, The Athletic has a really comprehensive piece out where pretty much all QB questions are addressed. It is worth seeing.  https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7083539/2026/03/04/starting-quarterback-projections-free-agency-draft/?source=user_shared_article I’m putting something specific here but it should have a thread or something. It is an extensive exercise.  This is a dense write up with a lot of column inches used, about the Jets and Murray and Reich, all this stuff.. then it goes to backup QB and there is Dalton.  I am pasting that part: As for Dalton, Reich is installing the offense he was trying to run in Carolina in 2023 before he got fired, and Dalton was with the Panthers then; he’s an ideal option as a veteran backup to replace Taylor. Reich said this about Dalton in 2023: “The way he's throwing the football, the way he works through progressions, the way he handles the operation. … Since day one (when) he walked in the door, I'm like, 'This guy is starter-worthy.' You guys know I've said that all along. He's, in my opinion, one of the best 32 quarterbacks in the world.” ——— That’s true love lol. I never heard any of this. Pretty crazy I think, considering how the year went.   Anyway the dream is not dead. .
    • The Seahawks traded for wide receiver/returner Rashid Shaheed at the trade deadline. He proved to be a key acquisition. Shaheed returned a punt and a kickoff for touchdowns in the regular season and had a 95-yard kickoff return in the postseason. Shaheed, though, is scheduled for free agency. So, the 12 games he played, including the postseason, might be the extent of his time in Seattle. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Shaheed and the Seahawks are not close to an extension, and the expectation is that the two-time Pro Bowler will hit free agency. Shaheed has 153 receptions for 2,243 yards and 12 touchdowns in his four-year career to go along with three punt return touchdowns and a kickoff return touchdown. He ranks 13th on PFT’s top-100 free agents. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/report-rashid-shaheed-appears-headed-to-free-agency
