Doesn't really matter.

Jets-Bills

Bills. We need the SOS. Plus fug the Jets

Browns-Bengals

Browns. The AFC North plays the AFC East, so again, SOS.

Raiders-Texans

Doesn't Matter

Redskins-Eagles

Redskins, only to further ensure the NFC Least stays terrible, and nobody gets on a roll to compete for a Wildcard spot

Chargers-Dolphins

Dolphins. SOS.

Vikings-Seahawks

Vikings. They are out of it, and I think the Seahawks will slip up down the stretch, opening the conversation for  the number 1 seed.

Chiefs-Broncos

Broncos. SOS

Ravens-Bears

Ravens.

Lions-Steelers

Steelers.

Cards-Jags

Jags. I know nobody cares about Arizona, but that team is for real. That Defense is just as good as ours (as we saw in week 5) and they are getting hot. If Palmer can stop sucking they will be in the wildcard discussion.

Falcons-Bucs

Nobody cares

Packers-Giants

Giants. If the Giants can win here it basically eliminates the Packers

49ers-Saints

Saints. I know I'll catch poo for this, but in the long run its better if the Saints win here. We have the tie breaker on the 49ers. A win a MNF football, and a 49er loss here gives us a 2 game cushion on them. We'll play the Saints twice anyway so we'll have our shot to take the division.

Even with your explanation, pulling for the taints doesn't make sense to me.

In the event we lose to the Saints (twice) and don't win the division, if we have a 2 game cushion on the next wildcard team we're still in great shape to win a wildcard spot. We'll have our own shot to beat the Saints. Twice actually.

Hard to tell who to root for with the Saints/49ers. At the end of the year it may be better for us if the 9ers win that game, might be better if the Saints win it. Just depends on if we're in the running for a wildcard or the division title.

So that being said I'm rooting for the 9ers, cause well f--k the Saints.

Not really. The stronger the AFC East is the better for us.

Sorry, can't pull for the Saints. We are 1 game behind and will know on Sunday night if the Panthers are playing for #1 in the division on Monday. SanFran still has to play Arizona and Seattle, and they way they are playing, StLouis will give them a game. SF has their own problems.

Because we don't play Detriot/Chicago/GreenBay,  tiebreakers take effect.

I'd rather the Saints take that loss... its very likely we could trade one with them, so that with a CAR win sets up nicely. I'd rather take it now. Being top dog would confirm our confidence and peek us at the "right" time which is now. We need confidence and beating NE confirms us as  the MOST SCARY team of the NFC!

You just said we own the tiebreaker with SF...so even if they win and run toe to toe with us for the rest of the season, we would still have the advantage over them. A Saints win would continue to keep us at a distance and there's no guarantee we beat them twice in December to overcome that deficient. We have a bit of a lull in the last part of the schedule after the NE game (MIA, TB), so it would be nice if we caught up to them at that point.

However, I can see how a Saints win can be beneficial, too...but it has more to do with the schedule. The 9ners have a fairly easy schedule after the Saints (WASH, STL, SEA, TB, ATL, ARI). Of course, Seattle and Arizona will be difficult (and maybe STL), but the rest of them are cupcakes compared to what we have to do deal with.

It's still early in the week and I can go either way at this point...but I'm leaning towards a SF win.
