 Here is a look at how long, on average, it takes Brady to get his receivers the ball. Make of this what you will.

 

Danny Amendola: 2.34 seconds
Julian Edelman: 2.07 seconds
Shane Vereen: 1.91 seconds
Josh Boyce: 2.93 seconds
James Develin: 3.56 seconds
LeGarrette Blount: 2.66 seconds
Aaron Dobson: 2.19 seconds
Brandon Bolden: 2.09 seconds
Stevan Ridley: 2.79 seconds
Matthew Mulligan: 2.94 seconds
Nate Solder: 2.22 seconds
Austin Collie: 2.32 seconds
Rob Gronkowski: 2.50 seconds
Kenbrell Thompkins: 2.35 seconds
Zach Sudfeld: 2.93 seconds
Michael Hoomanawanui: 2.66 seconds

I got the stats several day ago from nesn.com and they also said....Brady is taking more time to get rid of the ball. Last year, Brady took just 2.47 seconds to get rid of the ball, according to Pro Football Focus. This year, he’s taking 2.57 seconds. He averaged 3.39 seconds in the pocket per sack last year. This year, he’s averaging 3.57 seconds per sack.

So, Brady’s line is actually keeping him upright for longer. Brady is just staying in the pocket for longer, failing to get rid of the ball quickly.

That is bc some of their passing game.....really is almost like run. Dink and dunk.

It is why our pass rush was weak against Buffalo.....they dinked it down. They did it poorly. Brady can do it better than anyone. Have to take away the short stuff and live with the result of him attacking deep. Hopefully our rush gets to him

This thread is irrelevant being that the Patriot offense is now healthy and jelled. That was a result of the Pittsburgh game. How come they didn't give up a franchise record in points allowed to any other team or even close this season? .

Pitt D is old, slow and bad......and it was at Foxboro. Don't put all your eggs in the THAT game is what we are basket.

We aren't the Steelers D

You guys secondary is not great... And we can win those one on one battles EASILY.  You are high if you think that Danny Amendola and Aaron Dobson cannot get open on your average at best cornerbacks.  And then we have even more receiving weapons for you to deal with.  You guys have to remember that as good as Luke Kuechly is Tom Brady is even greater and has been around longer and can and will outsmart that kid.  He can't cover everybody.

Yeah the Pitt D is pretty much done.  They are talking about cutting Polamalu, etc....

      Its completely and utterly bootlicking at this point.  If you cannot acknowledge that using 3 picks on a rb with a torn acl in the 2nd round isnt a bad pick then you simply havent a clue about football.  Sorry man it is what it is.  And its insanely laughable you are trying to strawman this argument using other players.  And what fuging facts are you bringing that is justifing morgan using 3 goddamn picks on him?  I cannot wait to hear that.

      Scourton's interviews are telling to me that it's only a matter of time before he could really put it together.  His limitation tool-wise that I see is in his bend, but at the leaner size, it looks like it wasn't a problem at Purdue.   He has a good moveset and reads leverages very well (vet level well).  Plays both the speed/quickness (great change of direction) and has a power game with good hand usage.  Moves from what I've seen in my digs: I'm seeing cross-chop, fake crossers into bull, bull rush, spin (his preferred move of choice), hand shuck.  He's not unrefined by any means.   If he can do 2 things---I'm feeling confident from seeing his interviews that we have a real dude on our hands: 1) Diversifying his moveset/how it's deployed - Over-reliant on some, but again, he has a growing palette.  And is already great with his hands so things are in-place to coach up. 2) Developing a counter moveset and starting to play the chess game with an OT - He's very good at reading leverage, knowing when to change things up during a play.  But NFL coaching should start to teach him how to really create a plan based on an opponent.  What to throw at a guy first, how to confuse with fakes/counters, etc.  How to play against these tackles as a game progresses.   Overall, he has some things that give me serious optimism: Run Defense, speed moves, power moves, he's super young and has the size/length.  When you really spell it all out, I think we should get excited.  Temper expectations from a stat sheet standpoint, but he should be able to go in and make an impact.
