Mike Mitchell on Drew Brees "Stop being soft"

Don't get your panties all in a wad "Cajun Boy" just because your idol " Short Stuff Brees"" was rightly called out by the hard hitting safety Mike Mitchell for being soft. If it comforts you, then realize that "Short Stuff Brees" is in the same crybaby mode with Tom Brady, another first ballot hall of famer.

Yeah make sure you save those DVR recordings. We all know the Saints won't be a thing when Brees retires.

LOL I wonder how many of those Saints fans have kept the paper bags they wore over their heads a few short years ago. I hope most did because Cam and  the Panthers are a team on the rise and in a year or two will be kicking their Canjun Butts twice a year. Believe it. :)

Yet Matt Ryan was punched in the face and because he is 6-5 he doesn't get the call.

Exactly...Talk about getting your head/face hit several times and almost twisted off by holding the face mask, then if that wasn't enough the Saints player kicked Ryan in the head when he walked by.

It was a light kick but a kick nevertheless, yet no flag was thrown for any of this.. If this had been Brees or Brady this happened to, flags would have been thrown all over the place

I don't like the Falcons ( or Saints) but come on man this was total BS.

I'm not sure he "flopped" or was faking being hurt. If you've seen that gif of Brees' neck stretching like a giraffe, you know that poo hurt. Mitchell is right about Brees being a soft little bitch ass cry baby though. Those comments about "It had to be a penalty, I had blood in my mouth." You play football, bitch! Brees is the most hypocritical pos in the NFL, he feigns concern over player safety and expects us not to remember how he defended bounty gate and LIED about it. I probably respect him less than just about anybody in the NFL, and that's saying a lot.

    • Been here since the Coliseum days. Hornets were the first pro team I ever rooted for. If they're ever going to get out of the gutter they have to establish a culture. They are trying to do that. I have no idea if it will be successful but it's a start.
    • I don’t think I'd go that far but there is definitely legitimate reason to ask how much he actually values winning and being great as a basketball player. He is very easily distracted with off the court stuff. This has been a public criticism of people like LeBron James with some of the newer generations of "stars". And it is 1000% valid and needed to be said. All I can say is I hope this is the year. If it is it will be apparent fairly early on. But I get the sense if the same themes continue as the upcoming season progresses the FO could look to move him before the trade deadline. It would suck for a multitude of reasons and I don't want to see it happen but if it did it would be on LaMelo and LaMelo alone because they've given him the keys and are finally putting pieces around him. If he wants to be a great basketball player and win he will be here and do what is necessary for the team to be successful. If not well....
    • Haha.  I remember my first Hornets season.
