I'd assume that the pass game is much more difficult in cold weather, thus meaning Cam's ability to run gives him an upperhand against other more passing QB's.

Were the other choices the same as the ones in the other poll (Stafford, Romo and Kaepernick)? If so, then I could see it making a lot more sense.

Does anyone have the sound clip or can they recap for me? Don't know how Cam could be #5... he's never played a cold weather game has he? Kansas City last year? Has he played a game where gametime temperature was freezing or below?

Coldest game I can think of would be Monday night in Philly last year. Temp was in the 30's at kickoff, though I don't think it was at freezing.

Want to know where ESPN gets this stuff? They just make it up. It's really as simple as that.

 

Whether it's which QB is more intelligent, or more clutch, or better when it's between 33 and 38 degrees with a rainbow in the sky, it all has the same validity.

 

None.

 

Look at the good reference sites with situational stats (like Pro Football Reference) and ignore the entertainers at ESPN.

Well Cam has historically played his best ball with us in late November and December if you go back to his rookie and sophomore years.

 

I think he gets into a running rhythm during that time that warms and loosens him up some.  Not every QB has that advantage.  Even of the other running QBs, none of them really have the make-a-defender miss moves like Cam does.

Mid 30's is worlds apars from mid 10's. We have yet to see how Cam does in a true cold weather environment. It's just ESPN being stupid again.

 

What team except Green Bay from the NFC we have to worry about playing mid 10's. You going a lil too far. 30s is cold enough

Aside from Green Bay you could get that cold in Denver, Buffalo, New England, Chicago, Cincinnati and Pittsburgh. Coldest game ever played was at -13 F, and in Green Bay of course.

 

My point is the ranking is stupid.

      Ehhhh except a lot of it was his refusal in college not to play hero ball.....  The two things he greatly improved at the NFL level were his accuracy on the run and learning he didn't have to take the deep shot every play.   That said when taking a massive boom or bust athlete at QB the most important thing is their work ethic/coachability/desire to improve

      The new (released today) FOX ONE app will allow you access to watch your Local FOX Station - similar to how the Paramount Plus app allows you access to watch your local CBS station It'll cost you $20/month for the privilege, but if you're having trouble accessing the over-the-air antenna for FOX, this could be an option to consider the new ESPN app will give you access to ESPN content, but not to the local ABC affiliate.
