RGIII: "Media trying to Character Assassinate Me"

I WAS SAYING THIS ALL LAST YEAR. And i also stand by the fact that it was a crime this guy won OROY, he has been all hype if i have ever seen it.

You me, and many others together Bud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  :thumbsu:  :thumbsu:

He was completely protected by the schemes in Washington (worse horse running back; high school offense, employing fakes, motion and trickery off of every play based off that run game, for short throws or intermediate ones to wide open receivers). He didn't have to do much, but throw to a spot on the field. He was the farthest thing from a pocket passer. Kaepernick was very similar, but no one wanted to hear it.

I'm not sure if he didn't deserve to win Rookie of the year, based of his stats and the teams streak and record (though the eye showed us something different)? Nonetheless, he certainly wasn't the best Rookie QB last year. That distinction should have gone to Wilson or Luck.

I do agree with you, that "he was all hype". And I don't think RG3 will be a great QB in this league for numerous reasons. He'll really have to learn to read defenses, stay in the pocket, protect himself, and hold on to the ball when sacked. He fumbles way to much, and seems to HATE GETTING HIT, even more so than the average NFL QB.

We'll see?

Not sure you saw Shanahan's actual quote, or my summary?: But here it is:

"Robert is so used to having teams play us in an eight-man front where they've got to stop our run, and (last year, we) had wide receivers wide open. (Last year), everybody played us in an eight-man front, sometimes almost in a nine-man front with their free safety, and when you do that, you're going to have guys wide open like we did last year -- one of the reasons why the play-action game was so good and one of the reasons why we were ranked where we were throwing the football with yards per play. This year, they're saying, 'Hey, we're going to play a little more passive. You're going to have to earn your right in that running game.' "

-- Washington Redskins coach Mike Shanahan

Read the last section of the article titled "extra point"

interesting decussion regarding 2011 draftees salaries going forward..........

Says Cam will make 14 mil. at a minimum (depends on cap #) according to the new cba insurance guarantee.

So, we now know what the starting point of his contrat talks will be...........

Yeah, I had noticed that to.

I think he can get up to  $16 million (starting from the $14 mil  you mentioned) the following season if he's franchised.

Found it interesting RG3 seems to be subtlety blaming everyone, but himself for the Skins losses. He doesn't want to take that leader role and put it on himself when he talks to the media.

If he's going to play it that way then he cannot take any credit for when/if they ever win. You can't say, "Oh I'll take credit for those wins, but if we lose then it's my teams fault."

Obviously, it may very well be the fault of Kyle Shananahan. But, RG3 hasn't adjusted to the fact people have film on him now and he's still the same one trick pony. Same stuff Kaep is going through - just Kaep doesn't say nearly as questionable things about his team.

This whole Redskins team needs to zip it. Between Garcon in the beginning of the season and RG3 and Moss now. At this point they're feeding stories to the media themselves.

I have to agree with Donovan McNabb. This is what he had to say about present Robert Griffin III situation.

(“Right now, it’s starting to get frustrating for him. And he’s never been in this position,” McNabb said of the embattled Redskins quarterback. “Last year everybody was patting him on the back and congratulating him on his rookie season, rookie of the year, putting up great numbers, a seven-game win streak, getting into the playoffs. But right now it’s been a bad moment for him. It’s been like a bad dream. And he’s stuck in it by himself".)

No way in hell he should have won Rookie of the year. Russel Wilson got robbed. Kirk Cousins came in and won two of those games. Including the game winning td and two point conversion against Baltimore. No guarantee RG3 makes those plays and no guarantee he beats the browns. Without those wins they don't make the playoffs.

RG3 is getting the typical black QB treatment when the team starts to lose with all the same ass code words (work ethic, lleadership skills, uppity, can read defenses....everything except calling him a thug). Same poo Cam had to go through and all black QBs from one time or another had to go through.

Unlike Wilson and Cam who have Moon as a mentor. RG3 has no one who has been through this poo before to lean on. He should have listened to McNabb he told his ass that it would play out like this.

Pretty much, I was a little perturbed with McNabb saying something due to how he went out, but he should have communicated with him on the low. No guidance has really hurt the kid. McNabb would have been great to have in his ear as long as he kept the Shanahan bs out

Media talks bad about Cam, Huddle freaks.

RGIII talks bad about media, Huddle trashes RGIII.

Wut?

Just like clockwork, Bully and csx.

I wonder just how pathetic their lives ACTUALLY are that they have to use an internet message board to make them feel so much superior than others.

I wouldn't even call it a black qb thing. You look at most young white qbs and they tend to keep a low profile. Cam called himself an entertainer and icon, RG3 was "all in for week one". Some of the criticism might be a little racially biased but for the most part a lot of it is self inflicted. RG3 had all the commercials and promotions of himself this offseason when he should have kept a low profile.

The Golden Calf of Bristol is probably the most criticized qb of this decade and he's white. What do these qbs have in common? Dual threat. So it's not a "black qb treatment" it's with all dual threat qbs. They criticize them for being athletes and not true qbs until proven wrong. That's why it's good to keep a low profile like Russell Wilson and Andrew Luck. Hell EJ Manuel isn't lighting the world on fire but he keeps a low profile so you never hear about him. Unlike Geno Smith who yapped off at the mouth after he was drafted. Now that he's not backing it up he's criticized.
