a.) lol to the scenic route comment

b.) great story about him crying

c.) if he bought a taco bell and I lived near it I would eat there almost everyday. I fuging love Taco Bell and Steve is my all-time favorite player and the reason I really fell in love with football.

Steve is a legend. Hate all of his wasted years with injuries, bad QB play, and special teams duty.

idk that kind of made Smitty into part of the player he is today. He has stated multiple times that it ate him up not taking reps at wide-out in practice

Going through my nightly reading of my local newspaper, I came across this gem. There is NEVER an article about the Carolina Panthers on the LA Times that I have ever encountered....Until tonight..a good one at that by one of our better writers.

Looks like Sam Farmer and local boy SS had a phone interview.

I hope that this article is a start in making the Panthers more common in other major market newspapers.

Great article. This here is the greatest Panther of all time IMHO. He better get selected for the Hall of Fame! If he played his career on the Giants he would be a lock, even if they had never won a Super Bowl. As a guy who grew up in LA myself, I am proud of Smitty and happy that he overcame that environment. South LA is rough. Gang membership is almost a requirement to survive there. But the very thing that you think is saving you, is actually killing you.

Terrific article. Some fans still don't truly understand just what Steve has meant to this franchise.

I agree. The team we have this year is generating fans that wanted to jump on board for a while now, but were scared too do so due to mediocricy. The new fans have no clue of the impact smitty created. He has been the heart and soul of this team since he arrived, and no other panther before him, not even Sam mills can compare to how amazing he has been to this organization. From the rams playoff win to getting into dbs head everytime he's on the field, his presence has been unmatched. Steve Smith, (rules and regulations) has been the most important player to ever put on a panthers uniform. No other player comes close imho.
