Panthers have the advantage?

I wasn't much of a fan of Darren Sharper when he played but at least he seems objective.  Makes some valid points.

You knew Evans would go against the Panther.  Hell the guy actually shows his true hatred for the Panthers when he says Canthers.  And no that wasn't an error it was an On the Air dig at Carolina.

The true question is.  Can our back for hold up to Brees and his accuracy?  Will the front four put enough pressure on him to make him make some bad throws?

IMO we will do much better against the saints this year due to our upgrades at safety.....Also we beat them with about their same personal and we had NO run defense at all.  They will struggle, and try deep trick plays and drew will scream for a few roughing the passer calls...Cam is wiser now and I trust him and he is a beast on turf running the ball especially in the red zone...check the minnesota game....I need to get to bed smh....haha  but im watching this pharrell williams 24/7 music video called HAPPY

I think we'll see a similar game plan to the one we implemented against the Patriots.  We'll be willing to give up the short routes to avoid getting gashed down the field.  Make no mistake about it, our secondary is weak, our front seven is just ridiculous.

That's pretty much what we run all the time, no?

I think is will be tough for us. And yes Brees is quite good. Our D is going to have to play lights out against the Saints offense. Brady Shredded our D on Monday night for 21 points. And we got lucky to get a final drive to win the game. Panthers will have to play their best game of the season. They must get pressure on Brees on every play and Keek/Davis must keep on Graham at all times. I'm not so much worried about their run game. I'm just worried about Graham. If they can take Graham our of the picture and keep pressure on Brees and stuff the run. We can win the game. But man it will be one heck of a game come tonight. I really hope  we do pull it out. Unlike the Saints fans. I will be real. I ain't going to say we will blow them out and run away with the game. Because I know in reality Brees and Graham are good as hell. Our D need to play at the top of their game tonight. Botton line. That is the only way we win tonight. If we try to match point for point with Brees. We will lose. We can't afford to give them long drives that end in points everytime. We do then we are in trouble. So hopefully the Monday night game and having to stay an extra day in Seattle will take affect on them through out the game enough for us to take care of our business.

Isn't that totally unprofessional.  I thought the Can'thers was clearly a dig.  I would love to post that in the locker room.

Evans reminds me of that scrub LBer they had...  Forgot is name. Cheapshot artist.  Tried to take Smitty Leg out in 07 I think it was.

He went to Cleveland and his career ended.

Pressure on Brees, shut down or contain the short, quick throws.  Just like on smillin' Tom.

    • Yeah and I am doubtful he can offer that consistently. I don’t have many years left at my age and in my view we have wasted two and this whole exercise with him was always a three year minimum.  I am out on that with a guy I don’t believe in, and never believed in, it has sucked. To me it is a costly detour off the right track. Years.    But I am not so rigid that I can’t see excellence. He needs to display it though, consistently before I change my outlook.
    • No, when I said rage, I meant rage, which only applies to certain fans on this board. Your timeline of trying to assess whether he is the future or not is really tied to the discussions surrounding his second contract. If this team is going to commit to some monster contract while he has shown nothing but glimpses of brilliance would be deservedly worrisome, so the clock is genuinely ticking for him to settle into something resembling his final form. Perhaps a best case scenario is that he plays well, the team succeeds, but he does so with a more limited role that makes the rest of the league view him as a game manager, and his second contract value reflects that. Then he continues to improve and becomes a bargain comparatively while not handicapping the team around him, and we enter an era of consistent championship competitiveness that the fanbase has craved for decades and has never really experienced before. But that requires many, many things to go right and for Bryce himself to facilitate that if he ends up being the quarterback of the future.
    • Exactly. And the flame throwers as well, get location benefits from not going all out. But they have it in reserve.  Not sure how much Greg had but he was an artist.  There was a YouTube I came across last year or maybe even 2023 and I don’t how to even find now but it had two NFL QBs I want say one was Carr from the Raiders but I don’t really remember  The point of it is they stood side by side throwing identical distances to identical targets. Radar gun was used.  They threw the normal effort (not all out) and it was measured etc. Then they were asked to throw their ‘fastball’. They were missing and most often they were missing high. It demonstrated the same principle.    edit: and applying that to arm strength, give me the guy that doesn’t need max effort to have good velocity. The margins are so narrow with less velocity in tne NFL the defenders can Close on it and this is a league where they value down to the 100th of a second level. It is that tight
