The Jets Irony

You do know they beat the saints correct? Idk why some of you guys think this game is a gimme.

Ive usually been a pessimist and am guilty of always crying trap game but I have no doubt about this game. Our D will just shut them down. They only scored 3 pts on Miami and Baltimore. They got demolished by the Bengals. Yea they beat the Pats and Saints but the Saints fold in outdoor cold weather so take that with a grain of salt.

I dont mean to sound like John Fox but they will just plain ole lose because they just wont be able to put up more points than us.

The jets ironically give up more through the air than they do the ground with a #2 rush defense. Their air defense is ranked a lowly 24th. What should be the game plan offensively?

Do we stubbornly try to grind it out on the ground? Or do we speed up the tempo to negate their dline and test out their secondary?

What we should do is the same thing for every game.

If the other team is loading the box hit them with the pass. If the other team is playing a light box hit them with the run (if the OL can make holes)

What ever look or defense the other team gives you attack their weakness. Plain and simple. There is an answer for everything the D does.

Just wanna say something real quick. The saints got there a** handed to them in Seattle. They took there revenge out on us in the dome. We lose to the saints, so therefore we take our aggression out on the jets at home. You see the pattern ? There shouldn't even be any discussion involving the jets on here. We came out to the saints field playing different style of offense and defense. When we should have just stuck with what's been working. Especially against Seattle. I say blame our coach's for the conservativeness that we played. I guess also the horrible officiating. No worries though. The Saints and there fans are really big headed after that win which is good because that will hurt them come playoff time when it counts. The same thing they did to us will happen to them when they come to Charlotte. I promise you that. They will be shocked of how we play them that they won't time to react. Panther Nation !!!

    • And, yes, I've been a slow boil, but watching continually watching shitty displays of football for weeks has me frustrated.
    • Bryce just didn't maximize Hunter Renfrow's skills. ***rant incoming*** But this isn't just about Bryce Young mistiming passes to Renfrow so bad that he's going to get Renfrow killed or hurt, this is also about incompetentence by Dave Canales. Renfrow can still play. He's putting DBs in a blender out there---making them play twister at the top of routes to keep up with him, and dumb Dave has the nerve to cut him. How about putting Hunter in the best position to help the damned offense by appreciating his skill set, DC? You're letting Bryce's apparent inability to make an accurate throw, or at least his timidity to push the ball down the damned field cloud your judgment and miscalculate talent---or maybe just miss on talent just as much as Bryce misses passes due to playing pussified football. It's fúcking unacceptable.  Speaking of misjudgment, I don't know if it's Dan Morgan or Canales, but Eijiro Evero is not the business at DC. I have said a few times that his scheme is not conducive to run-stopping efficiency. Hell, and after watching some clips of plays, now I absolutely know why. The gaps are at least half open before the play even fúcking starts. You are setting the opposition's RBs up for success with too much damned space at the line and in the second level. If our guys are taken out in these areas---at the line and in the second level---then the defense is screwed because it must rely on the safeties to cover too much ground to make the tackle. At least put Ransom in who is motivated to seek and destroy if you're going to effectively leave the safeties on an island.  And speaking of rookies, get our two new defensive ends more snaps to see if we can't generate more of a pass rush. For all the good the continued sorry display of defense that you're putting out for fan's to see (Ejiro, Dave and Dan), you may as well get the rookies generously involved. Fúck that money we gave second-rate (maybe second-rate) vets, we need a damned spark getting after the QB. Watch it, it's just another breakdown of the sh¡t we were subjected to last week. I say this with all respect: Fúck you, Dave! Fúck you, Dan! Learn how to run a fúcking franchise. Maximize the players, regardless of what you think you're supposed to do by the book. Cut the dead weight before another season is lost and fans lose interest in September. EE is "Ew!" Or for emphasis "EEw!" /end rant
    • But nobody is saying he is a good deep ball passer.  But the facts are since he's returned from his benching, he has been throwing downfield.  Whether you want to credit the scheme, Bryce himself, or whatever, he has been pushing it deep.  Not to any positive results mind you, but it has been happening.
