Ravens rookie Matt Elam on Calvin Johnson: He's pretty old

 

"He's pretty old, so I don't know how physical he'll be," Elam said, via the Detroit Free Press. "He's a big guy, but he's older. I guess when they get older they're not going to be as physical, you know what I'm saying? We're going to have to be physical, make him uncomfortable."

In case you're wondering, Johnson just turned 28 years old in September.

 

Both Ravens QB Joe Flacco and Head Coach John Harbaugh have since suggested that Elam may have spoken out of turn :unsure:

Johnson has said he'll be happy to show Elam his "old man strength".

That said, there are certain players I wouldn't want to piss off prior to playing them. Steve Smith, for example.

I laugh... I start writing a poo talk email, I check his score, he won by 20 when I thought he should a lost by 2...
