Matt Elam is a bit of a numbskull

Ravens rookie Matt Elam on Calvin Johnson: He's pretty old

"He's pretty old, so I don't know how physical he'll be," Elam said, via the Detroit Free Press. "He's a big guy, but he's older. I guess when they get older they're not going to be as physical, you know what I'm saying? We're going to have to be physical, make him uncomfortable."

In case you're wondering, Johnson just turned 28 years old in September.

Both Ravens QB Joe Flacco and Head Coach John Harbaugh have since suggested that Elam may have spoken out of turn

(Translation: "Shut up, moron")

Johnson has said he'll be happy to show Elam his "old man strength".

So I read this & was pissed because the one guy I didn't want to play in the FF championship needed Megatron to come up big to win his Semifinal. Megatron has a poor game by Megatron standards. I laugh... I start writing a poo talk email, I check his score, he won by 20 when I thought he should a lost by 2...

I scroll down to his kicker... Justin Fugging Tucker...

    • I came over from the old Panthers Insider site. When Fox Sports bought that platform it slowly just started dying plus the guy who ran that site was dealing with some pretty significant health issues so the whole thing just slowly fell apart. Quite a few of us migrated over here. Not sure how many are still around.  I miss that place. It struck a nice balance of having enough active posters to keep productive conversation flowing but didn't have so much traffic that you end up with a lot of trolling BS. This place is getting there though since we shutdown new registrations but at some point we're going to have to open it back up or we'll watch this place slowly die off too as posters fall off for one reason or another. We just have to figure out a way to filter out the spam bots. It was a never ending battle to ban the spam bots to keep then from overrunning the site. You'd think they'd be a little more strategic. I mean, if you fill a site with nothing but spam people are just going to stop coming so it's not a sustainable model.
    • lol...I don't remember that.  Although recalling what I had for breakfast yesterday is sometimes a challenge.  Hope it was a positive thing.
