Buck may have a stick up his ass, but he's one of the better play by play guys.

I mean, after Dierdorff last week, can anyone really complain about anything anymore?

Dierdoff is more of the color commentator than the play by play guy but he is by far the worst. I wouldn't be surprised if his "retirement" after this year is a forced one. Although I must admit that I loved him on Webster.

I went to college in ARIZONA For 3 years and NEVER missed a game and since I've moved back have been to every home game....there Is simply no excuse I garuntee there is some bar or Buffalo Wild Wings around you all wherever your at that has the nfl ticket and will have it on.....I don't feel sorry for anyone that would rather just sit at home.....east coast games started at 10am in az...the bar I became a regular at didn't open till 10 so I was there waiting at 945 every Sunday and eventually got to know the manager and opening bartenders so well they eventually started letting me in at 930am for pregame and put my sound on...all it takes is some effort.....NO EXCUSES

Any of the AJ Gators aint too bad, Footers has a good atmosphere, where in VaBeach are you? Try to minimize your drive time...

I'm actually going to be a ways south of Va Beach - down on Knotts Island.

Any of these places regularly show the Panthers with audio? Or am I going to have to watch some crappy corner tv while listening to Tony Romo throw seventeen second-half interceptions as the Redskins claw their way back to lose by only twenty?

Dont know too much about Knotts bars, only been down there a few times.. Unfortunately you do look not south enough to get the Panthers game locally, gonna have to find a bar with the Ticket or its DAL/WASH for you...

Knotts bars? HA! There's only one. Beer only. A celiac's worst nightmare.

Is there really no gathering place for Panthers fans up that way? I'd think that the Tidewater would be close enough to support a group... better to have twenty or thirty folks at one bar than to have them all at ten different bars.

what some are embarrassed by others call "character"   :)  Maybe it's a southern thing.   I don't mind at all that he butchers a word or two and gets excited while trying to talk.  Because 9 times out of 10 when Eugene is excited I'm jumping up and down also!

Bill got shafted.  He was great.

You do have a point with Eugene...........

..........I don't listen enough to him to perhaps see that on a regular basis.

Although I do love his yelling "its over.............its over!!!" when Smitty caught that ball for the TD to beat the Rams in the double overtime playoff game in 2003.
