How many push offs will the refs let Tony G get this week?

Believe it or not, I was saying that to myself the whole time I was posting that.

I just think much better threads could be made.

I can't make them very well either, so I don't make too many threads.

The OP has apparently noticed that some well known players get some infractions overlooked by the zebras. It gets frustrating.

No need to let others venting their frustration to get your BP up.

Thread topic aside, I think this will be a much tougher game than we anticpate. I didn't watch the entire game last night, but the falcons have not folded their tent just yet. And you can bet they don't want us to win the South in their house.

You arent wrong on kuechly while he is one of the better mlbs in coverage he does mug his guy ALOT. I have the all 22 and it happens almost every game but for some reason the refs never see him. I wonder if keuch some times does it on purpose at the right time but I have a feeling its going to cost us again like it did in buffalo hopefully it.isnt a deciding factor when it happens

I wonder if we are being coached that way some, because we have such a great goal line D. i know white gets called for some holds, but if it stops a td and gives them 1st and goal, we have a chance to make a stop. It would be one thing if we had a bad D and everyone that got to the 1 scored, however we dont and its hard to score on us. I think thats why Ron sticks with white, cause when he gets beat he holds like hell instead of letting the guy score an easy TD. its one of the benefits of having a great D line is if you got a pass off and we held and got a flag, you have to now deal with our strength and thats front 7.

He will be called on it. We are a hot team and they are not.

He won't get called on it- he wasn't called on it last night when he caught the TD pass. He ran is route straight ahead into the endzone, ran into a DB, grabbed him with both hands, threw him down, turned around and caught the pass. Flags came flying and they called the DB for holding!

Even Jerry Rice in the booth said, "That was a turrible call... maybe I need to call Steve Young up here...."

I thought I was crazy and was seeing things when they called defensive holding. I don't understand how they didn't see Gonzalez throw the dB to the ground. Pretty ridiculous and a terrible call by the refs.

the bottom line is Tony will be balls out to conclude his career on a high note and this team will give us fits but we must keep pounding.............

I am convinced with the status of Smitty, CJ and even Cam (among some others) need this win in the worst way to make a serious run in the playoffs.

As far as any Super Bowl hopes go, now that we are in the dance this game is the most important game we play to set up the Panthers to see that possibility happen.

If we do not win and are forced to play next week as a wild card I do not see the health of our team getting a necessary rest to make a deep run............

Win at Atlanta and we become a force in the playoffs........................and still even have a chance at #1 seed too.......

    • Dennis Rodman’s son lands Summer League shot with the Hornets   The Charlotte Hornets are coming off a promising 2025 NBA Draft class and will enter Summer League with no shortage of new faces looking to make an impression. But the most interesting addition didn’t come from the draft board. Instead, it’s DJ Rodman — the 24-year-old son of Hall of Famer and five-time NBA champion Dennis Rodman — who’s bringing some extra attention to the Hornets’ Summer League roster. Rodman played four years at Washington State before making the move to USC for his final season.  He wasn’t exactly lighting it up with the Trojans, putting up about 6 points, four boards, and an assist each game. But he did shoot well — hitting around 41% from the field and draining 36% of his three-pointers.  Standing 6-foot-6, he’s got the size to play on the wing and offers some versatility, which could be just what the Hornets are looking for as they try to fill out their roster. The Hornets’ Summer League squad already has plenty of fresh faces with this year’s draft picks and young guys fighting for a role. But Rodman’s last name alone is enough to turn heads, and now he’ll get his shot to prove he belongs once the games tip off in Vegas. Charlotte’s Summer League team is already drawing interest with recent draft picks and young players hoping to crack the rotation. But Rodman’s last name — and his potential to bring energy and toughness — adds another layer of intrigue. What Rodman lacks in college stats, he makes up for with hustle and competitiveness — traits his dad was known for throughout his Hall of Fame career. If he can bring that same energy and show growth in Summer League, he could carve out a role and surprise some people. Though the odds are against him making the Hornets’ final roster, there’s no denying the spotlight that comes with the Rodman name. The Hornets kick off Summer League next week in Las Vegas.   Dennis Rodman’s son lands Summer League shot with the Hornets
    • At this point, I only care what he does in 2025.
    • Question to the posters on this thread because you are knowledgeable--I love watching and pull for the Canes, but I never played so I don't have the understanding I had when I played football then watched it.  Having said that, Do you think we are weak at Center?  I see the team to be pretty strong on the wings, promising defense, and weak at Goalie.  It would be ideal if the Canes had 1 more position to upgrade, not 2.  I don't think you can count on Anderson to play a full season and he is 35.  However, are we solid at Center in your view?
