Before the Penix pick six, the panthers had run 8 plays for seven yards while up 10-0. That includes a 5 play, 13 yard drive out of halftime where Bryce threw incomplete on third down. In that exactly what canales wanted? -
I mean Bryce also had 30 and 40 yard completions in that window and very few QBs attempt more than one pass of that distance. 15-20 yards is where QBs need to be able to hit regularly. And that's what Bryce did last year routinely that he isn't now. -

The offense actually opens up with Dalton at QB and we probably have a better chance to win with him in there. It doesn't matter if he's washed at this point, there are still things he does better than Bryce. Bryce went down last week and Dalton comes in, DC immediately opens the playbook and starts pushing the ball downfield. In short, even a washed up Dalton is better than Bryce
