Mildly off-topic, but Chud may be one-and-done

If you realize you made a glaring mistake....why not.

His players don't like him or believe in him. Hard to let a coach remain if it is glaring he doesn't have a lockerroom. Need that to build IMO

You have a good point but they seem to be going the Raiders route and every coach they hire can't be the problem. (I could be wrong)

Still.... If your 2012 teams blast you and your current team blasts you. You might be the problem.

But in addition to that, the Browns created the problem by hiring him. I don't think he was ever a good OC and no way HC material. Browns seemed to of just glanced at a stat sheet or something

I'd honestly would welcome him back with open arms, say what you want but the dude knew how to get this offense to produce. Chud >>>> Shula

It could produce numbers but it may not be a coincidence that there have been 4 game winning drives this year compared to none? the last 2.

Alls I knows is we needs a new OC, whomever that may be. Hell, I'll do it for a Cheerwine and a signed Cam jersey. Guarandamntee you I will not call an "All Go" on 3d and 2s.

If we don't get O talent around Cam then who the OC is really won't matter

You're kidding, right? Norv is a great OC but a mediocre HC. He had a Super Bowl caliber squad at San Diego and he blew it every year. If anything, Whisenhunt will be the top candidate.

He would still be a huge improvement over Chud. And I could really see the Browns make that move...they are the browns.

This has more to do with knowing football and not knowing football, the issue has not been Cam Newton or the Offense last season, it was our Defense and our DB's. An example of this was the Falcons game last year that we lost on a last second TD from Matt Ryan, when Cam has scored a TD with what I believe was 53 seconds to go in the game it would have been that game winning drive that was supposedly so highly sought after, then the Defense which to say was bad in the DB is an understatement couldn't stop anyone in crunch time.   That happened a lot last year, and don't let this years DB's fool you, they have been exposed in the Saints game in NO and again today.

The biggest difference between this years Panthers and last years is nobody have been able to get past front 7 and they have been able to make up for the DB's short comings.

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
