This would be unstoppable..limited basis..

Michael Vick with DeAngelo and Stewart running the triple option. Everyone said you can't use it at Georgia Tech...Paul Johnson proved otherwise and Georgia Tech will be sick offensively this year.

Agreed you don't want to risk losing your qb, but why would this not work on a limited basis, especially since Vick is not a bad passer.

Thoughts? Assuming Panthers could get Vick without any ramifications, on paper why would this not work for 4-6 plays a game.

Imagine Vick pitching out to D or Stewart!

I understand the blocking schemes in college that go along with this offense are illegal in the nfl...but that aside, what are your thoughts on this possibility?

ummmm....no duymb idea. i know you aren't a panther fan (you are a dwill fan) so you wouldn't understand but......no.

bad idea.

monumentally bad and dumb.

and it has already been brought up a whole lot more than it should have.

mike vick should never ever be a panther and he never will be. i don't care how much sense it makes for some folk. it isn't and won't ever happen. thought makes me wanna puke.

If Vick didn't bring so much baggage/bad publicity/outrage to the fans, then I wouldn't mind seeing that happen.

But that being said, there's no way I would welcome Vick to our team with all the baggage that he brings.

not just the baggage.

he is the enemy. he is and always will be the falcons, imo. he is the dirty bird.

    • Also, you don't really get good value by drafting a center in the first.
    • First off, we haven't been ignoring the defense. We have drafted several defensive players, but, perhaps more importantly, we have added good pieces in free agency. Secondly, the offense was still kinda bad (27th or so depending where you look at). You can't just say we can't pick an offensive guy while acknowledging that the offense wasn't good. Everything is on the table. Like I said above, it seems kind of counterproductive to say that we shouldn't draft an offensive player high unless they're at certain positions. The offense was mediocre at best. Sure, we had an uncanny knack to win some close games at opportune times, but the offense wasn't really good. To me, it makes little sense to put limitations on who/what we should draft when we need an upgrade at so many positions. What you look at is trying to get the best value--bang for your buck so to speak--and that's the way it should be. D-Mo has used FA to set up the draft in order not to be pigeonholed into anything, and that's the way that it should be.
    • Hubert has plenty of money. I don't hate the guy. I think he a legit good guy. This is Ron Rivera all over again for me. It's just very obvious a coaching change is needed and it audka we gottaboart ways with a good guy and I'd much rather it work out but the same issues appearing again and again year after year are clearly shouting what needs to happen. With that said, if we hire Todd Golden, that's it. I'm out. I'd greatly prefer to just keep getting disappointed by Hubert. I can at least stand to root for that.
