Chiefs/Colts Game Thread

Anyone know if that fat SOB Peter Queen is tweeting about Lucks shaky performance.

Yep let's all just imagine that was Cams EXACT first half next weekend. They would all be pulling out the Sir Cameron Newton: Leader of Men, Lover of Puppies...Esquire bs. They would absolutely destroy our boy.

Lmao yes clearly Luck was the one who gave up 4 TDS on defense, fumbled the ball on his first carry, and let the chiefs have drives that took up 7 minutes each.

Yup. All his fault. Would LOVE to hear the excuses u all would be making if that was Cam out there with the worst D around...... Oh wait, thats right..... That was all of the 2011 season for us.....

Yup, and it wouldn't matter how many points the opposition scored.

All the media slurping of Luck sets an expectation of a flawless QB that can will this team back with his arm alone... Unrealistic: Yes. reaction is just based on the media overhype... luck is clearly good.. And on the short list for guy u want to build the franchise around.

But he threw an awful pick at the end.

Give Andy Reid credit.. He had two weeks to scheme against this defense.

That was Cam his first 2 years in the league.

Hard to have any rational discussion of another game without all the Cam huggers coming in with their comparisons and hate for any QB ever compared with their god.

They run down Mayock for saying the defense made a good play on Luck, but then don't give Smith any credit because to them, it is only an absence of Indy D.  No QB anywhere can do anything good, at least not on this board.  Tough to read the jibberish sometimes from the ultra sensative Carolina Cam fans.

Grow up guys, just enjoy being in the playoffs and not having to work on your 10 mock draft version alraedy.

See Tantric Ninja's post/response, two places below yours.

That pretty much summarizes it (along with the media's Cam double standard, in comparison).

No need to defend Luck too much here though. Many of us like Luck; including me. But he is a tad bit overrated, and under scrutinized (especially when there's reason) to tell you the truth.

But the game is not over.

    • This won't be a trap game for them. I worry more for the next time we face Atlanta. That's a death trap game if we aren't careful.
    • Luckily, we've got more games ahead to watch and see what happens. Maybe he keeps growing his game, maybe we see that he's topped out when we hit stiffer competition. Or maybe he flames out against a team he should well be able to beat like the Jets this weekend. I really can't tell where all of this will end. I can say, though, there's no reason to hit the kid at the moment. Let him roll for as long as he can.  Heck, Sam Darnold is setting the league on fire right now, along with Baker Mayfield and Daniel Jones. Examples of guys mired in bad coaching on bad teams (sometimes our own) that hit their stride just as a team did. Maybe we're about to get lucky.  I do know one thing. The biggest change in a winning Bryce and a losing Bryce is that when he plays fearlessly, he is a hell of a competitor. When he gets scared, and he has so many times, it all just falls apart for him and no team can save him. Bravery makes the difference and it comes from believing in not just himself, but his line, his receivers, his running back and the play calling. Just like most young QBs. And quite a few of the old ones. Rodgers couldn't make it in the chaos of the Jets situation. He can in Pittsburgh, so it seems.
    • That’s what I thought too. Maybe I interpreted it wrong. I was considering maybe taking a last minute trip but I think I’ll pass
