Been though this topic before.............the media is a commercially driven business compensated by their ratings..............their information and opinion is slated to that information which applies to the largest audience as possible.

.......larger audiences equals better ratings.

.......better ratings equal more revenue.

Last I checked, its still a commercial media market out there.

So what is a small market sports team to do with the media?

Exactly what Al Davis had said..................Just win baby...........Just win.

I want Tolbert to knock the living shit out of some poor defender Sunday.

I swear the only way this team is going to get respect is to blow the 49ers out

I really hope he does in the three carries Shula gives him.

Look at Chandler bottle up Willis. Most impressive.

The best part of that clip is actually cut off in the version I posted. If it goes another second, you see Chandler look down at Reid and point at him like... "Yo, your rook here got KTFO..."

I've seen our game mentioned a few times on ESPN the past few days. Each time I've watched a segment...it has been about how SF will win because they're so much better now than they were in the first meeting and they're clearly the best team in the NFC and blah blah blah.

I've been pissed all week. Tomorrow is going to be fun.

The Carolina Panthers are aware of your skepticism, and they're using it as fuel for their competitive fire this weekend.

Tolbert told NFL Media's Jeff Darlington that he's used to being overlooked because he's always been shorter and fatter. This time, it's sticking in his craw. With the San Francisco 49ers emerging as a trendy pick to roll into Charlotte and knock off Riverboat Ron's upstarts, there's a stench of disrespect in the air.

"I can't speak for everybody else, but personally, yes, I do (feel disrespected)," fullback Mike Tolbert said Friday, via The Charlotte Observer. "To me, it's absolutely ridiculous why we're the underdogs at home when we're 7-1 at home, when we beat teams that are in the same caliber as San Francisco, if not better. Personally I got a bad taste in my mouth about it."

Pro Bowl defensive Greg Hardy doesn't care what the rest of the country thinks about Sunday's showdown.

Although the 49ers have a clear postseason experience edge, Darlington couldn't help but notice a "very loose, very casual" atmosphere as players sported Steve Smith's "Ice up, Son" T-shirts at Panthers headquarters Friday."If you don't stop me, I'm going to break your quarterback's face," Hardy said. "... That's just people talking. Naysayers, people jabbing, even old analysts and old players talking about a game that they're too slow to play. Congrats to them. That's what they get paid for."

Bolded is the only concerning thing but I'm confident our guys will be ready.  Rivera has been a part of SB teams as a player and coach.  They better be ready come Sunday.

All of the players feel disrespected. I think SF is doing it in purpose obviously. I just hope that players don't allow their emotions to get the best of them. I hope that the defense is mad but disciplined in their assignments. I fear that the 49ers are blatantly disrespecting the defense on purpose in hopes that if the players play "angry" and not smart, that they'll be more apt to make mistakes.

I know that Ron and the coaching staff is keeping their heads in the game. I'm not worried whatsoever, as I feel that we are going to crush them tomorrow afternoon. We'll be the under dogs in Seattle and New York as well. Our guys relish this role.

Tomorrow can't come soon enough
