Speculation on Hardy's Future (NFL.com)

Mr. Scot

Just sign two years for 4mill and then when were out of cap hell pay him accordingly

Because Hardy Agent will not allow that. You have to look at it Hardy way. Yes he can take a 2 year deal and wait to get paid when we are out of cap hell. But Hardy and his agent knows that if he gets hurt with in those 2 years like tear his ACL,MCL, or PCL. Maybe something worse. The Panthers might refuse to pay him if he ain't the same after the injury. Just one big injury with in those 2 years could cost him a much bigger pay check later on. I don't think Hardy or his agent doesn't play that way and is will to take that risk. Hardy wants the big contract now and that is it. At this point we maybe screwed.

He can work things out.

It's not like he is a caveman, he likes Carolina. I'm sure He could work something out to help with the cap; and the team. He talks as if, he wants the team to be a unit, a core team of players. I think he would rather have solid players beside him than take up all the cap space. I do not think he is trying to be greedy to the point where he doesn't care about the team.

Greg is a smart man. He wants to be on a winning team like our Carolina Panthers. He does know the boys he has with him want to win as well.

I'm not worried about Greg leaving at all.

He will continue to become The Kraken in the dark nights of BOA. Jerseys will be sold, babies will be kissed, 76 will be a household number.

The time has come....

                                ..........................TO RELEASE THE KRAKEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He's been quoted that he wants and feels he deserves to be paid as a top end NFL DE. So your looking at top 5 money for what he think he deserves. So in range of 11-12 million a year.

If I were Gettlemagic I would have a meeting with all of the big money teammates of Cam, Hardy, Ginn, Captain, Mitchell and Mikell, hat in hand and ask them "Do you want to win now?!? Do you want to create a dynasty here? Then the team needs your help! "

The only way we get out of this is a massive restructuring of contracts. Some guys will have to take a cut to keep the band together. If not we'll be right back at the bottom of the NFCS without a QB or an adequate defense. Cap hell is hell

It's up to them. Some players could ensure a roster spot for themselves and not get traded or released or anything like that if they considered playing ball with this. Win. Win

    • He’s been every bit as much of the problem as anyone else. You cant remove him from that fact, he is just as much part of the team and in THE most important position on the field. But this is the first season he’s seen any kind of continuity in his team and coaches. And he’s shown flashes here and there. But we do need more out of him going forward a lot more if we are going to be successful
    • Bryce isn’t great and super mid. But I think can be a game manager. What do we think is out there? Daniel Jones isn’t going anywher. Mac Jones? Zach Wilson? Pickett. I’m just not sure what’s out there that is much better without having to give up a ton of capital. Rather take one more step closer to contention with our early rounders next year with FS and LB help. Make this  place where dang they got a defense and a WR1 and solid RB room. I can win with that and want to be here
    • AR15 is if Justin Fields was fragile and his teammates hated him. No thanks. Ya'll think you hate watching Bryce Young? Wait until your QB can't even complete a 7 yard pass over the middle, which Fields and Richardson can't do. If the draft class was better, I could absolutely see the Titans moving on from Ward already if they got the #1 pick. But so far the college QB's haven't impressed enough. They'll have flashes, but then follow it up with a very meh game. Kyler is already done in Arizona, but he has a ridiculous contract and he's basically Bryce that likes to scramble, so no thanks. If Lawrence can't produce with that team in Jacksonville, what do you think he'll do here? He's tall Bryce who can throw deep but can't make the 4th down throws and crumbles in the red zone. No thanks. I do think Canales wants to move on from Bryce, his body language says so even in wins. He treated Bryce pretty odd this week and Bryce looked checked out in the Packers game. But unless they make another risky trade, its going to be slim pickings. Basically our hopes lie in hitting early in the draft with a Mateer, Nussmeier, Beck type or finding a random backup free agent that has another gear to hit.  I think even with the draft being wishy washy, 4-5 QB's will be taken in the top 7. A lot of teams are just that desperate.
