Better player: Charles Johnson or Greg Hardy?

I'd say hardy because of how versatile he is, and also just wish CJ was paid like a regular DE instead of that bullshit contract he got, cap #s make CJ just look bad cuz he doesn't produce close to what he should for what he is being paid for

CJ gets paid what the market dictates top DE gets paid.

So he does earn his contract.

I would say CJ at the moment but Hardy is on the rise. Just how far he will rise is a matter of speculation.

If Hardy does leave we will miss his vesatility but I have confidence in Addison and Alexander.

Hardy is a great player, and I expect a little drop off once he leaves, but I've always been on the the "Big Money" team. CJ's just more consistent and you could tell his impact after he got injured that Pats game.

Based on stats in 2013, Hardy was much better.  Historically Johnson has been good but this year was not one of his best.  Hardy on the other hand is just coming into his own.  Losing him at this point would be a big mistake.  His cap can be worked into the mix while still signing other players.  We will have 20 million in cap space and in 2014 it likely won't hurt us that much.  If we structure it correctly we should be fine.  Of course if Hardy is only about the dollars and wants to play on a bad team then he will be missed.

I'll take CJ all day every day.  Half of Hardy's sacks came in two games, against a horb Atl line and a rookie for NO.

Hardy.. has the more potential too. CJ is a corner stone who has been on the panthers for a while. Not as fast or athletic as Greg but to me they are both a MUST have on our defense on sundays or were cashed.

 

I love the way CJ can play the run too. He is a very big dude. Him and Hardy are scary together.. plus the 2 pig lords in the middle
