I'm late in saying this but some of you need to realize there is a middle ground between Steve Smith & Tavon Austin.

Just because a player isn't Smith doesnt mean he's an electric utility player.

I'm just now digging into Cooks, but for all appearances he's a complete player.

I still prefer KB over him at this juncture on potential, but Cooks isnt just some speedy Y.

Definitely, it seems like this is the season of huge backs. My favorite, personally, is Bishop Sankey.

Drafting a WR at #28 is looking less and less likely as we could get equal value in the later rounds due to the depth at WR.

OL and DBs are becoming hotter commodities due to rarity. Moses, Amaro, Pryor, Yankey, Verret, Mewhort (stock rising.)

Agreed. It's no wonder Cooks is not 89...he hasn't even played a snap in the NFL and people are sitting here saying who he is and who he isn't. Cooks was the superior college receiver to both Steve Smith and Tavon Austin.

Even though running backs aren't high on our list, I would love to have a guy like Storm Johnson behind Cam.  Yet we can't spend picks on backs.

All the good tackles will be gone before pick 15.  Everyone after Robinson, Matthews, and Lewan is about on the same level in terms of starting ability.  The best of the rest is definitely James Hurst.  He should be the one tackle that we should not leave this draft without.

Sure we can. Just cant be a high pick. Charles Sims/Storm Johnson in the 4th/5th sound pretty good.

Wouldn't be surprised if Matthews goes before our pick, but if he's there I'd be surprised if we didn't pick him. He's the most pro-ready prospect in this class, imo, and that's exactly what DG and RR want.

Am I the only one that thinks there are 10 players that would have been ahead of the top WR's drafted last year. Maybe not 10 ahead of Tavon. But I think atleast 10-12 would have been drafted before Patterson.

Logan Thomas Imo is now a 3rd or 4th round guy. I highly doubt some team is bold enough to take a gamble on him higher. If you can draft him with an established vet you can do one of 2 things now: continue development as a Qb or switch him to Te. He just physically is too gifted to slip past 4 and has a great work ethic. Look at his numbers today and go look up the Te group from yesterday. He sits right there with everyone else yet he is taller than them.

Dude us a project with great upside and seams to be motivated. Question remains: will he be open to switching to Te.

I'm on board the Beckham train in the 2nd but he won't be there. Not sure if he is a 1st rounder on production either. He would be a gamble Imo but if we somehow get into the top of the 2nd round he has to be the guy other than....

Matthews just made the covet list. Guy is Keenan Allen from last year under rated athlete that is so smooth you think he must just be a technician only. Unlike the next 2 guys listed he showed me in the 40 time he can get vertically down field for a good 15+ yards after he gets separation. He isn't gone once he gets it but he has wheels to maintain till he completes a fairly deep route.

Robinson probably needs a good product to stay in the in 2nd round for some. The long speed questions got louder today. Every think else points to top flight #2 but it's going to be able to either take the top off the defense or be effective against most #1 CBs.

Same can be said for Adams. Great #2 but can he out keep separation once he gets it. That's that more what I see out of the 40 times. Everything else for he and Robinson point to short yardage specialists that will have to make there game about strength and hard breaks to get separation as the ball is in the air. Both I think can find a great role here but not worth of our 1st and good not great 2nd round picks. Still worthy of it no doubt but not the true #1 guys.

Moncrief just flat out dominated today in the underwear Olympics. That's not to say he is just an athlete as he took it to a lot of teams in 12 but the performance drop off really makes you wonder. I will say he is my favorite WR athletically and I can see him dominate at time like Patterson did for Minnesota late but is he worth a 1st. He should be gone before our 2nd.

Cooks I think is not there when we pick. The size question will follow him until he produces in the NFL. Otherwise we should be talking about top half of the 1st round for the best collegiate WR last year. If he is there and no OT is worthy I take him or look at against the BPAs and likely select him.

Lee is also worth of our 1st if only he played for a major team not named USC. He answered all questions today save 1: durability. Otherwise 28 in this draft is about right. I would not be surprised to see him gone before Cooks but I think Cooks is better.

Someone asked how this class of wr stack up. I have 2 that i would look at after Evans and Watkins: Allen and Patterson top the rest of this class. Go back and look at Patterson numbers from his combine. As for Allen he just should have done the wait game and not run before training. He wasn't 100% and it killed his stock.

It amuses me how the first thing to discredit Lee as a worthy pick for the Panthers is the emblem on his element. You guys never disappoint.
