I heard the sound of a bell, new merchandise is being moved to the middle of the store. I was in the jean section looking for Evisu, True Religion jeans etc when that sweet bell started going ring a ding -ding..I passed 2 old women and a small child frantically racing to the cart of possible goodies not yet molested by the public. I got there (out of breath) first, I found this green jolly guy staring at me

I'm with Mr. Rockets on that one. I go to Goodwill and I don't see where anything has a huge resale value. I do know that if you hit the Goodwill near an affluent neighborhood, the stuff will be better than the Goodwill by the ghetto.

You should make a thread on what to look for at Goodwills. Maybe teach a class.

The key is going often..  Guys are terrible at moving stuff and looking for items, I'm not. I found a plastic container with a box in front of it on the bottom shelf filled with 80's Star Wars toys.

I love these threads because I find this stuff interesting. I also like shows like American Pickers. It's cool that you have an eye for stuff like this. If I bought that T REX I would have thrown it out back as a dog toy.

I learned that toys from popular movies are always a grab the hard part now is parting with Rex he cracks me up... I have a desk filled with high end toys. Star Wars toys from the 80's, original transformers from the 80's. GI JOE'S all found at Goodwill.

The Goodwill I go to is near a decent middle to upper neighborhood but that store has high sales so items are shipped to them from all over the low country from those donation centers. I know the pricing manager at my Goodwill but he wont hook me or notify me when cool stuff comes in he is by the book.

Are people actually paying that much for it or is that just what people are asking?

That is a rare toy so its hard to price

Nice jerseys are a dime a dozen in the ghetto though. I've gotten quality stitched versions of classic jerseys.

    • You guys are just going to have to accept the fact that Dan Morgan is a mid GM best case scenario currently. I used to have people get very belligerent over defending Scott Fitterer too. And that's not hyperbole. People used to go to bat for that guy like he was blood related. We have a truckload invested in the OL and what do we have to show for it? The whole unit is already banged up including one of our big signings. Even without all that the group has largely take a step back from last year in pass protection. Then you get to the QB room and there's only two conclusions you can make about Dan Morgan. Either he deliberately ignored it two years in a row on his own accord or he took orders from Tepper to do so. Either scenario says he's not fit to be an NFL GM.
    • Frank, ceding control of the defense in no way verifies that Tepper told Canales to bench Young.    It certainly buttresses the idea that Canales would need permission to bench him but that is as far as you can take it.    After that it is pure speculation and it doesn’t make sense.
    • Uhh, okay yes that happened. I didn’t like the pick either I am a 3rd or later RB guy. Always. Actually hated the CMC pick too. Hated the Stewart pick.  No one wants to talk about trading the #39 in that draft and what he did with that.  Got #52, #155, and the Rams 2025 2nd to boot.   The 52 and 155 plus our 142 5th rounder to go up for a Brooks Everyone wants to forget about the 2025 2nd for that Rams trade  which was used to move up for Scourton.  That Rams trade down was a great deal for us.
