Panthers bring safety Roman Harper in for a visit

Not to make a case for Harper, but I remember alot of people who didn't want Mitchell either a year ago for his behavior playing against us the season before.

 

Valid point, but there's a big different imo between one game and 6 or 7 seasons with a divisional rival and all the different incidents AND being from the douchebag bounty squad as well...

Mitchell was a younger faster under used talent in Oakland.

Harper is older and has been a weak spot for the Saints for years.

We have openly game planned to attack him because he sucks.

People have continuously tried to downplay Mitchell, but that truly was like the lotto last season. He is still young, was coming off his rookie deal, and due to the dysfunction known as Oakland, he wasnt properly utilized or retained. We hit the jackpot.

Roman Harper has been one of my least favorite players in the NFL for years because he's such a dirty player.

If this is what Gettleman is going for given we've lost a fifth of the team or so already, go ahead. It only continues his trend of doing what he can to alienate me from the team.

 

I'm taking a break from the Huddle and the Panthers for a good portion of this offseason. Time to enjoy something that isn't as frustrating. I'll get back into it near the draft after we make our big post-draft UDFA, roster-filling splash. Hopefully things get better with this franchise. It's a shame this is the deal after a 12-4, division title-winning season.
