@JasonLaCanfora: With Steve Smith on way out of CAR, Panthers still talking to Hakeem Nicks. Offering deal worth about $4.5M/season. Badly need WRs

think everyone was curious for the source on Indy offering him 7 mill, but thanks for posting that

He was in SD, now Indy, should be in Charlotte Friday night or sat morning.

Of course that's if the Colts don't blow the door open on this one.

So I'm guessing he wasn't actually in Charlotte today? As much was alluded to in a few threads.

I've been on and off twitter and the huddle all day and have yet to see definitive confirmation he was in Charlotte today

Not seen that he was for sure, just that the Panthers did in fact offer him a 4 year deal worth 4.5 a season on average. He might give the panthers a chance to match if the Colts go over that because he's from the area.

At this point I don't care what happens, besides everything falling back on gettleman and him getting ran out of town. This whole thing about Smith has beyond rubbed me the wrong way. With Peppers, people wanted him gone anyways b/c he's an ass. With Jake, we all knew it was coming and a change was needed. With Rucker, we knew it was coming. Same with Minter. Gamble had fallen off, but it was nice he went nowhere else. But the Smith thing is a PR fiasco game that attributes to Daaaaaaaave coming from a large market and playing that poo. Be prepared for the talks with Cam, b/c it's going to be bad and he'll end up in Dallas. And don't expect a deal to get done with Hardy, either.
