It looks to me like Gettlemen is going to make us strong up the middle in the secondary.  Probably going CB in the middle of the draft.

He's a box safety through and through.  Listed as a FS most likely due to starting next to Mikell.  Rams ran with two box safeties.

I remember this guy. Former South Carolina Gamecock, big but slow safety, went undrafted but has had ok career so far.

Good tackler, was a really good spur backer/safety hybrid back in the day so that tells you his skill set and what isn't his skill set.

We are interested in him as a special team guy, he's similar to S Kurt Coleman of the Eagles.

If he's also a special teams player he could replace Jones due to his versatility or we could carry an extra safety instead of an extra linebacker and he could be what Jordan Senn was to the Panthers special teams unit.

I have a hard time believing that the Panthers would cut Godfrey then settle for a combo of Stewart and Jones. I'm not insinuating that Godfrey is an all-pro who can't be replaced, but he's better than Stewart.

Jones is the best ST'er we have and played well in spot duty at S, no reason to replace him.
