The Future of Carolina's WR Core

Is it reasonable to think they're freeing up some $ to make some sort of big move? i.e. making a draft day move up to grab Sammy Watkins? I thought the move was going to be for Hakeem, but that didn't pan out.

The only benefit from this mess is that the Panthers help to saturate the WR positions on other NFL teams. Come draft day with the receiver depth Panthers will have receivers falling to them in each round. Issue is the Panthers need to pick up 4 receivers in the draft now because no receiver with a brain will sign with the Panthers given what they are offering.

Being excited about UDFA No. 1 and No. 2 receivers on an NFL roster?

Starting WR1: UDFA

Starting WR2: UDFA

Tavarres King was drafted by the Broncos in the 5th round, if you are going to make such post then at least know what you are talking about.

Bottom line is the WR Corp sucked last season and has sucked for several seasons before DG got here. If you want progress sometimes you have to blow it up and retool. Some of you are acting like we lost a top five bunch of receivers when in reality they all where average or below average. Smith was in decline and was average at this point and the rest where sub-par at best.So what the hell was lost? Guys that they will easily replace.

That's incorrect Mcnutt was a sixth rounder and King was a 5th rounder how about you know what you are talking about before posting?

What's to argue about really?

Either way neither of them have logged a single catch in the NFL.

There is little difference between them, and a WR that we might potentially draft in May.

They were both drafted players...

Also I should point out draft status dosnt mean a player can't become a star...

Absolutely, just saying that we have as much to go on them right now, as we do a future draft choice this year.
