Has Hardy Signed Long-Term with Carolina?

I've been on Twitter and he has been thanking Steve Smith for helping him get to the money. And then there is this:

Looks like Hardy has been shopping for a new house in the Charlotte area... which I'm not sure he would be doing still on a one-year deal unless he just loves the area and wants a house in NC regardless of where he may be playing. Pure speculation at this point in time but interesting nonetheless.

I suspect a long term will get done, it is just a matter of Hardy being willing to recognize that there are no more Johnson contracts after several years of flat caps.  He can still make more money in a 3 or 4 year period than most of us will see in a lifetime.

Yeah must be upgrading for sure but I'm wondering if he would do so even with the uncertainty about where he will be playing in the future. Or he knows a long-term deal in Carolina will get done soon..

I wouldn't think too much of him house hunting...  there are plenty of athletes that never played for any of our teams that end up living in Charlotte.  So, even if he's working off of the franchise tender, I wouldn't be surprised if he decided to live here regardless...

NOW, the back and forth between he and Smitty seems like there is definitely something going on long-term.  I don't see Smitty saying "congrats on the new money," celebrating a one-year deal.
