If we double dip at Wr what would be your favorite combo?

WOW!!

Id be tempted to chose two complementary guys like a OJB round 1 and Matthews in 2.

But id love to stick some Monsters out there and take Benjamin at 28 instead, swing for the fences.

Add another decent TE too and things could look vastly different real quick.

It likely means Bell starts again but damn, at least id have a semi

you cannot answer this question without first defining which round these guys are taklen.

first two picks?

last two?

I like the Wisky WR in the third and the Iowa TE in the 4th with best two OL in the first two unless a miracle stud DB falls and replaces either of the first two OL rooks.

I think that would be the best value vs. targets ratio.

I doubt Fiedorowicz and Abbredaris will be available then but if they are.. wow.  I pretty much said the same thing yesterday in some other thread.  Sorry to repeat.

I really do not think that you will see two WR's in the first two rounds....but it is possible.

But, I do expect to see 2 WR's in the first 4 or so rounds....one being likely in either the first or second.

Yeah, there's enough depth at WR that it makes sense on paper. It'll be interesting to see how it all falls.

We "know" talent resides at WR in this draft, I just don't want to see us reach for another OL semi project while leaving more proven talent on the board.

I hope a talent like Lewan or Martin fall so we don't reach for need. I don't want to regret passing on WR talent for a 3rd year in a row.

How many would have projected Lee to be there at 28 a year ago. He was a top 5 pick this time last year.

...as far as stud WR's in the first two rounds go...

I hate that idea no matter who fell to us.

think about how long it takes for a QB and WR to sync up.  then consider that the WR is a rook.  Then throw in the fact that there are two of them.  Both with huge expectations and the subsequent egos that accompany those expectations.

in my opinion that situation goes sideways year one at the very best, and if so, what diva ramifications show up that may not have if time were not split.

Baaaadd idea to go WR with 1st and 2nd.

I think that is why Getts brought in guys like Cotchery and Underwood. Great team guys that will set the tone for the young guys.

You have to start somewhere. No guarantee an OT at 28 starts day 1 either, he may have to and we live with the bumps and bruises.

We can't go into the season with Cotchery as the #1. We have to add a legitimate talent, depending on 3rds and 4ths isn't going to cut it IMO.

Certainly Underwood and Cotch have the potential to help the young WR's (yet to be named) along in their development as far as how a pro practices, acts off the field, and approaches football as a profession.  Outside of keeping aggravations and distractions out of the process, that really has nothing to do with developing sync with the QB.

If there are only a few coaches in the entire league who could manage two stud rooks in the same class Ricky is definitely one of those few.  However, I believe if he were here he would tell us that he definitely wants all the top tier talent he can get but he would prefer them come one at a time.

Doing a 32 team GM mockdraft on another forum and currently after round 4 this is the prospects I've selected and I did double dip on WR.

Note that the following WRs were gone in the 1st round: Watkins, Evans, Lee, Cooks, OBJ, Benjamin as where the top OTs, CBs including Verret.

1. Morgan Moses, OT

2. Donte Moncrief, WR

3. Jared Abbrederis, WR

4. E.J Gaines, CB

    • I would write “give remmers tight end help” on a yellow sticky note and stuck it in shulas playbook the night before superbowl 50.
    • And don’t worry about Bryce he will be great… Peyton Manning had a horrible rookie year too 😂
    • Nothing wrong with it at all until you start telling others they are bad fans or not fans. But you are the good fan because you never say negative stuff about the team.    I did many years of that type of uninformed fanning because there really was no info and coverage like there is with the internet.    I mean, I used to go to the store and get Street and Smith’s annual football issue. That was about the extent of what you could get if you didn’t live in a big city with sportswriters covering and reporting.  There was no video to look at or replay the games and if you didn’t live in the market you could only rarely see your football team play.    TI have fanned since being a kid in the early 1960s, and as late as 1995 - ‘97 I lived in Atlanta and good luck getting more than 3 or 4 games a year on TV. No radio either. No print coverage outside of an AP recap and box unless they played Atlanta.  People today that have always had the network connection don’t know.    I wasn’t very educated about the Panthers until I finally got internet.
