Stop making excuses for him...SS is an asshat. He always has been and always will be, it's just who he is. And the Carolina panthers are partly to blame, because we facilitated his behavior...he assaulted not one but two teammates during team functions on team property. Not only did he keep his job, he got a huge raise and was made captain of the team.

You are implying that disregard for one player dictates a fan....which is of course totally incorrect especially since he no longer plays for the team and is active on another squad.

Not at all. Steve Smith is one of the most beloved Panthers of all time.

It just kind of like breaking up with a bit unstable girlfriend. When you were with her all of her antics made you love her fiery spirit. Also the sex was AMAZING. Looking back at it now though she was probably a bit crazy.

Smitty seems to be a guy who rants and tirades against anything he happens to oppose at any given time. I mean I don't see how that wasn't apparent to anybody that he flip flops like a beached tuna on steroids. He instantly started talking trash about how we're going to be sorry when the panthers play the ravens this year. He's a servant to his own perception of what's going on here and now instead of appreciating the very long run he had making a living in one place.

If the ravens cut him and he resigned with us tomorrow he'd just as soon turn his back on them and boast that this is the place to be again.
