2014 NHL PLAYOFFS (Round 2)

Recommended Posts

Nathan MacKinnon will be the best player in the league in 2-3 years, mark my words. You could already argue he's top 5.

Had the privilege to watch him here in Halifax a few times. Same type of player as Crosby (both from same town, schools, and training as well), extremely strong skater with high hockey-IQ. He was a man among boys in Junior and you could tell he was going to be special, he and Crosby will soon be 1-2 in the NHL.

Nice, didn't know you were from Halifax. I want to come check out the east coast one day. Looks really nice. Anything beats Winnipeg...

But yeah, such a strong skater. That goal last night showed off just about everything. Colorado is going to be good for a long time with him, Landeskog and Duchene.

You'll never ever see someone knock Crosby off the puck. His strength and IQ is what separates him from others. I can see MacKinnon being that very soon.

That Seabrook hit was trash. He should be done for the round. It wasn't just the hit, it was the taunting as well... "wakey wakey Backes" If I'm St. Louis, I'm sending Toews to the dressing room next game.
It really wasn't that dirty man Did he charge him? Yeah. But I guarantee the intent wasn't to injure.

Having lived in Detroit and watched the Red Wings quite a bit, I'm rooting for them big time. Datsyuk's the best. Would be watching the game but the Bobcats are going to be on at the same time.

    • You're saying the same thing as I said.  Until Jordan becomes an active part of recruiting and funding, this school will continue to fall way behind.  But to say Michael Jordan or the Jordan brand doesn't matter anymore, which is what you said, is flat out wrong.
    • I have not learnt my lesson and will always want Uber athletic profiles. Sorry, Im a whore about it.... Im not the right guy to defend Kenyon, I just have a understanding with this years draft, numbers, and panthers roster. He is more of "upside/project" and we are talking 19th pick here too.  I know about the years of all the mock drafts with TEs in them and I did want Pitts too.... Look I love the current TEs on the roster too, just this guy should be better than any of them at their best.  Right now I feel OT is the correct target, but panthers as a org are trying to win in 2026 than 2027. So tea leaves and all, Kenyon would help this year. You can even say flex him to slot for most of the snaps and think of tmac on smoke routes with Kenyon blocking for him. I just hate BY is the shooter..... warren, I would say he's the better prospect even without his rookie year, *but he was late bloomer like XL if Im right, plus age was 25ish?? Bears picked love above him, mainly cause of recs.  You can make a case that Kenyon is not a TE, but a moving weapon for offense that can be in the backfield, on the LOS, slot, and even X.... imean he's got XLs combine on some numbers.... He would be better to a offense mad scientist type...is that Dave? or is that bevell?? I think the Panthers should have him as a 19 pick, with others...
    • That's one of the best power play games I've seen us have in a while.
