I would like to say two things...

Everyone is trying to make it out like we're going to get killed by the Heat... well here's the story. The Heat swept us this year, but it wasn't by this 30 point margin that people always seem to bring up. Actually, the Heat's average margin of victory was 10.5 points and even that is deceiving. One of the Heat's wins was a one point loss AT MIAMI and then an eight point OVERTIME LOSS at home. The point is, we can compete with these guys and while they limped into the playoffs finishing 4-6 in their last 10 games, your Bobcats finished 8-2.

Finally, we're 0-17 in the big three era... we're do a few wins.

      I'm more impressed with the UDFA that the guys they have drafted in the first the last 2 years. A whole lot of prove it is still needed before any improvement should be talked about seriously.

      While I don't believe its a must win, (we have been better on the road this post season) it is definitely A NEED TO WIN the longer this series goes the more pronounced the Canes advantage on rest and health will be! If we hold serve at home in games 1 and 2 guaranteeing a 6 game minimum series for them if we lose the road games..... by the game 4 and 5 I expect them to be beat they have played A LOT OF HOCKEY the last three years, they have MINIMAL rest off a more physical than one might have expected series vs the leafs.... you know Tampa took their pound of flesh in round 1 from them. Combine all that with the fact that even though this year's canes squad isn't as talented as last years this IS a better squad than the one they swept last time that had McKenzie Mckeathern on line 1 Turbo with a broken hand a banged uo and eventually concussed Slavin (and even though it was a sweep 6 OTS and 4 1 goal losses is hardly dominant)  This year Bob hasn't been superman (hes probably gonna still have a great save percentage agiast us just a side effect of our style) Thatchuk is maybe 50% (3 game winners agiast us) their defense no longer has Gudas and several other downgrades.  While the Canes have a healthy and performing Svechnikov along with other big guys to counteract florida like Carrier, Jankowski, Robinson.   I by know means think it will happen but I either see this as a low scoring dog fight or a series were the canes surprise and end up dominating.
