  1. Past hour
  2. All fine and good, but know what you're disagreeing with. You can't disagree with facts, and it is a fact that McCaffrey's yards-per-carry and yards-per-catch averages are higher than Tomlinson's. You can agree or disagree agree about the importance of that fact in light of different parameters or contexts, but the facts as of June 27, 2025 aren't changing.
  3. I'd be surprised if they made the draft pick, I'm honestly expecting it to get traded.
  4. Just about every mock I've seen has us taking Cullen Potter which wouldnt shock me he's very much a Canes type prospects smaller fastest skater in the draft playmaker skills
  5. And pesce a late and lots others tbh Heck Morgan Geekie who was our 3rd rounder is now a 30 goal center man... Canes are very good at identifying talent.... That said given you almost never see NHL talent immediately there isnt much hype with the draft.
  6. Today
  7. He's reporting to the team tomorrow with his family and the press conference is set for Sunday.
  8. As the demand for apartments grows parking is becoming limited and it’s sad. I use to tailgate but I just park at uncc deck now and train in and head to rhino market. My tailgate grill hates me.
  9. It simply depends on perspective. CMC, when healthy and on the field, has a higher YPC and YPR than LT. Yes, he's been injury prone, but this is simply a "all quarter-century team." There are certainly different stats and different lists. If this were a list or about a team simply based on longevity, then of course LT wins that every time, but some lists are more subjective and nuanced depending upon what they are, and it's not necessarily a reflection upon a person's ability to analyze sports.
  10. From my what I have seen the overwhelming majority of people who are considering the notion a possibility don't really want to see it happen but are considering so for a number of reasons. Most importantly availability. Secondly even when he plays the last few seasons he has been red hot or ice cold. Then there is the subject of his defense which to say the least leaves a lot to be desired. Then there is the image of Ball inactive laughing it up on the sideline (while our team was getting the doors blown off) with previous busts who are now relegated to hanging on by a thread in the g league. I think we should be able to recognize with the team going out of their way to put a very strong emphasis on culture and leadership with the conclusion of this years draft that they expect LaMelo to lead the way this upcoming season and that begins with making significant strides and trending in a positive direction in the aforementioned aspects above. It just has to happen.
  11. Ppl want to trade Melo? Am I wrong for thinking that would be a bad idea?
  12. Some of you act like one can't learn from experience over time. Just because you may not know what you're doing in 2018 doesn't mean that you don't know what you're doing in 2025. Frankly, you grow from experience, and success and excellence gives first-time applicants the hand probably 99.999% of the time.
  13. It's an interesting topic of conversation as sports evolves. I think ultimately it would lead to a number of small market franchises folding though. Especially in the NBA where there are so many bad teams that have been bad for years and years in some cases already. But as it stands I think athlete pay draft or no draft aside has reached a point where we can and should realistically ask should they make that much compared to the average person. Now college athletes is a different conversation but even that reaches a breaking point. But we could go down the rabbit hole on this even further into overall entertainment and talk about actors making absurd sums too. In the end I think in sports the powers that be won't allow these changes to even be considered because it opens the door for so many other variables. But who knows how long sports like football will realistically be around after people like us pass on. We're only just now learning about things like CTE which the league and the sport in general will only be able to run away from for so long. As far as the NBA goes my understanding is viewership has been steadily going down for a number of reasons but one crucial aspect is key players missing so many games. The NBA has to figure that out regardless. Especially when considering fans who pay to see these athletes compete in person. But hey I guess let's just try to appreciate what we've got while it still exists in this form eh?
  14. I can't see a world where the money goes down, but maybe your lottery odds are now your contract numbers you can offer. Thunder? You can offer Flagg 4 years, 20 million. Hornets? You can offer Flagg 4 years, 80 million. Some form of a system where the money is still there, but so is the freedom of choice (on top of bad teams getting *some* competitive advantage to signing them).
  15. You mean the guy who hasn't shown up to Utah yet and whose camp has had "minimal contact" with the team since draft night? That's immediately buying in?
  16. Conceptually it's worth pondering if there are alternatives that could line up with current times. Alternatively on the flip side it opens a very real conversation about newer generations who are making in many cases drastically more money than previous generations of basketball football and baseball players being entitled. For me I'd say to even begin to entertain the notion of this then average pay should go down minimum 75% across the board. See how folks feel about the draft when they're only making WNBA money.
  17. For the record, the Draft is fun...but I wish they'd find a way to get rid of it. It is borderline crazy that pro athletes are just about the only profession where you don't have really any say on where you're going to work, live, etc. Free agency for all would come with issues, but I'd be interested in it. Want to go to the contender? Then prepare to take less money. Only care about your paycheck or getting your stats? Then welcome to the bad teams with cap space.
  18. $41 million and can't even show up like every other rookie is and has been doing? Terrible look.
  19. I was concerned it could become a thing if we drafted him. If the grades are even remotely close you draft the player who wants to play for your franchise. Maybe this will be nothing and all blow over, but it's nice not to have to worry about it...
  20. It was fine when we won but he was probably too player friendly and lost a SB because he just let the players do their thing instead of having a real plan to win the game. Also, after 2017, he had nothing. The players quit on him two years in a row. You could see it in the 1-15 finishes. The players quit.
  21. https://x.com/TheDunkCentral/status/1938614224009203810 Wow I was told he bought in
  22. I'm officially done watching any NBA or spending a dime going to games and buying merchandise. It was always obvious, but this year was the tipping point. I watched about 30 minutes of basketball the entire playoffs this year. They have killed it for me. Lebron to Cleveland, Rose to Chicago, Kyrie when Lebron returned, Zion for Anthony Davis, Wiggins, and now this?? anyone still committed to this WWE entertainment league?
  23. There's a big lot on West Morehead across from the Carolina School Supply Building that should have room. Up to this point it's been first come first serve on gameday and didn't allow online booking but not sure if that's changed. We stopped parking there a couple of years ago since it's kinda hard to get out of after the game and it went up to $50
  24. Rumor is it was both Philly and Charlotte he told not to draft him. Also his agent tried to tell Utah as well but they didn't care.
