  1. Past hour
  2. I knew it was a shitshow but I didn't know for certain it was this bad. When your headcoach has to force a subordinate to play a player by cutting another player the subordinate refused to bench that's a dysfunctional mess. There's no sugar coating it.
  3. I was considering just sharing the notes because there's a lot of bad and I wanted to be considerate of folks like @Basbear that might be browsing on a device that doesn't play nice with a bunch of videos. Then if there was any further discussion on particular plays, I could capture and upload those. Dude it's so much... the team was so bad on Sunday. There's even a few bad Bryce plays in there for those with hate boners for him.
  4. We draft a lot of those guys. Our front office has a type they like to draft. Big, fast, etc. and we don’t pay attention to skill because we always think we can coach athletes up to be football players. It hasn’t worked out once and normally our un athletic UDFAs out play the guys we draft. The only exception we made was drafting Bryce Young. It was the only time we ignored physical attributes. You can’t make all of this up.
  5. Yeah, wait until Tepper decides that his "hands off" approach isn't working and has Nicole run the next draft.
  6. The part you always fail to realize is that your working definition of "quality conversation" is conversation that you approve of. You interpret any joking or dissenting opinions as "attacks". Nobody cares about your woe as me bullshit. Post or don't. Just stop whining that people don't roll out the red carpet for you and put you on some pedestal of being the Huddle's own super analyst. You're the biggest whiner on this board and the source of 90% of the reported posts and it's usually just some post you didn't like. If someone dares mention Bryce in some thread you go ape poo but you can scoff and talk about "oh, now everyone will just blame Bryce LOL" in other threads and evidently that's different in your mind. Bryce doesn't need a personal internet white knights defending his honor. He's a big boy... well, that's a stretch. He's an adult. He can handle it.
  7. I do appreciate you for being honest. Don't know why the other posters that actively hate Bryce keep pretending they don't. At least a good faith discussion can possibly be had then. I've said multiple times that Bryce is showing this season that he isn't the guy, but we still have posters that feel threatened doing something beyond hating him that think pointing out other shitty parts of the team is making excuses for or defending the QB play.
  8. I personally would love a recap. Its helpful to know how bad it is and where it's falling apart. I already know it's nearly everywhere but it helps to know who's developing and who's not. It also helps to evaluate the coaches. But that's just me.
  9. I guess it isn’t news to me so it doesn’t have the impact it would if I were just figuring that out. I thought it was just obvious that Evero was given his domain and we had a defacto separation of church and state so to speak. Canales’ words and actions seem to confirm that. As Mint Street Turns so go the days of our lives. However that goes.
  10. I can understand folks being exhausted and not interested in understanding what's happening with something they don't have direct control over. At the same time, I cannot understand some of those same folks feeling threatened by fans that do want to try and understand to the point of where they go out of their way to attack them in multiple threads they're not even participating in. With a couple of mods not wanting quality discussions and the majority of the active posters just wanting to scream into the void, it doesn't look like it's even worth sharing the all-22 analysis here anymore. I'll keep doing it for myself since it's fun (I've finally got the first half completed, the notes are not pretty) but to hell with trying to provide anything here that isn't scapegoating a single person it seems.
  11. I *think* he does though. Obviously until Tepper changes his mind or we end up 1-15, but I think Dave was told he has three years. The part that kills me with that though, and maybe makes it untrue, if you have 3 years...why play scared? Why run on 3rd and 10s? If you don't trust Bryce, throw him to the wolves and let Tepper see he's the obvious problem...but play normal football instead of scared. The whole operation is insane. For whatever reason, I still trust Morgan and Tillis for another year. But everybody else? Woof.
  12. The Bengals are pure ass too and with Burrow expected to be out until December they're gonna be done by then and they'd be insane to put him back in the field again this year. They might be in the mix too.
  13. It makes him look weak and not in control of his staff. It shows the players the headcoach does have it together and has no authority over half the team. Its a really bad look.
  14. Rankings are crazily evolving this time of year. My own included, but I still think this is a super exciting class compared to past years. Nuss & Beck (Seniors) will be coming out for sure, but their buzz is being muted by the big risers; I'm not sure they're high draft picks. Nuss maybe. Sellers (20 y/o) is an evolving case, sky high potential, athleticism and crazy deep ball...but being just 20, does he come out yet? Or go the Cam Ward type route? Indiana plays Oregon Oct 11. Mendoza (22 y/o) vs. Moore (20 y/o) That game is showcasing the two rising prospects this season generating the buzz. Will be one for Panthers fans to watch. Both of these guys have an ARM. John Mateer (21 y/o) is coming back in 1-2 weeks. He could still crank out a very nice season. So let's say Sellers & Moore go back to school...(they'd be in the top-3) Still high on: -round 1 guys- 1. John Mateer - exciting guy, top-of-R1 worthy 2. Garrett Nussmeier - slight slump but still a nice prospect 3. Fernando Mendoza (pending closer look) - major boom/buzz happening with him -tier drop- 4. Carson Beck - The next McCarron/Bennett type guy 5. Sam Leavitt - There's a lot to like, but he's a bit too..ordinary? Want a higher ceiling. 6. Drew Allar - a guy that people want to like but they just hasn't played to level you want. I don't see the feel/energy in his work. 7. Cade Klubnik - oof, stay away *watch: Taylen Green Arkansas
  15. Panthers are full on ass, but I still don't think we're wrestling the #1 pick away from the Titans and Saints especially, and maybe even the Jets too. Probably picking in that 4-6 range.
  16. I think he did advocate for Frank, at least initially. Whatever happened during those first 6 games turned the coaches, and probably some players, into the Game of Thrones. I honestly think Fitterer had a lot to do with the upheaval. He was pissed that his 1st overall pick was looking like ass and blamed it on the coaches. The coaches then went into self preservation mode and all hell broke loose.
  17. This suggests that Canales has job security through next season. A coach on the hot seat with a ‘win now’ mandate typically is not focused on player development.
  18. This franchise just has no self awareness under the Tepper's.
  19. Chris McClain on the Mac Attack this morning said he was told by a team source that Evero and the defensive coaches pushed heavily on Fitterer to draft DJ.
  20. Allen went 7th overall. Mahomes went 10th overall. Lamar went 32nd overall.
  21. Some guys just aren't football players. Really seems like you could find some way to use an athlete like that but at the same time, if they can't play football they just can't play football. It is what it is.
  22. But Scott can communicate!!! - Evero And get a tripping penalty on a 3rd and Goal from the 30 to allow a first down. Until Nick Scott is cut or on the bench, Evero is an unserious coach incapable of changing.
  23. My first reaction was “that’s true” but I think the masses are finally seeing the light on Bruce and we are coming out of it.
  24. How in the fug is Scott still on the team today? They cut DJ so why not Scott too? DJ can't be the only dead weight they are cutting. Throw in Moore too. Bench watmer that can't even make it through a game.
  25. People like to throw around the phrase that ‘it couldn’t get any worse’ when in actuality it can and saying that is nothing more than hyperbole. Gentlemen, I submit that at this very moment, the Panthers defense accurately wears the ‘it could not be any worse’ label. I’m not a change for the sake of changing person, but Evero is not the guy. Even the worst of rosters will eventually show an inkling of progress. I refuse to believe this is the worst roster in NFL history from a talent perspective, but last season it was the worse performing, ever…. And the DC keeps his job?!?! Just think about that. Worst in the history of the NFL and he keeps his job? By that standard, what does DC’s leash look like? You serious Clark? In sane circumstances, every defensive coach gets walking papers after having fielded the worst NFL D of all time.. but not here. Makes you wonder who is really piloting this laughing stock…. And that is the guy had the gall to send Steve packing… but I digress. Evero, regardless of the circumstances he was given, just can’t be allowed to continue here. Digressing is simply not possible when you’re the worst of all time. Literally anything has the potential for improvement. His chance of turning this around at any point is 0.0.
