Gymnast are 5"3 for a reason and not 6"3 220. How do you attempt to avoid someone you've already committed your body to tackling, do you know how hard it is to bring a 6"5 (Shough) grown man to the ground in full stride.
-
Have you even watched this team this year? They will beat the Bucs and Seattle as home dogs. Tampa will then boat race us in the final game of the year and we will miss the playoffs after the 3rd or 4th tie breaker.
-
We’re not losing out. The roller coaster up down up down juju is too strong. Otherwise I would say we are losing out for sure.
-
fug this season. If we lose .
-
I agree. Was answering the mans question. My faith in the team to perform when it's all on the line could not be any lower right now.
-
My preseason prediction was 6-8 wins with 9 being the absolute ceiling. I didn't think the playoffs were even a option as I thought Tampa would run away with the division easily and 9 wins wouldn't be nearly good enough for a WC. I figured we would come in 2nd place in the division though.

If you can only fire ONE person before 2026....
Swaggasaurus replied to kungfoodude's topic in Carolina Panthers
You don’t fire Dave…or Bryce. EJ gets the boot. Doesnt mesh well with Dave, doesn’t really give you a lot. You bring someone in to compete with Bryce, A VET. Canales isn’t even on the hot seat. -
Maybe not totally on him but his mediocre at best performances do not elevate the team like a #1 overall should after three fugging years. I was never a believer, but tried to give the benefit of doubt, now I’m done. This guy can’t even motivate the team before a game, we need someone with some dog in them behind center.

Bryce. We have seen him w/ 2 coaches. The flaws will forever be the flaws. The ceiling will forever be the ceiling. Limitations will forever be the limitations. Give Canales 1 season w/ a downfield thrower. I mean, I don't like Dave and his style but that's the only thing that makes sense IMO big picture. We know what Bryce is. What know what Evero is. See a single season of Dave w/ a QB that fits his scheme. Heck we would likely be a double digit win team with just some nobody like Shough. -
I can't make fun of kids that still believe in Santa, because there is grown adults that still believe in the Panthers.

And I am thinking it is because he has an impossible job with putting enough plays together in a playbook to beat NFL defenses with his little college QB that can’t see unless we split the field in half so he can get out to one side or the other. If we just had typical largely unimaginative play action passing game with actual deep capability for him to call plays off of, and someone capable running it, it would be better than what we have. I amnot married to him but we only get one. I see more success with him and another QB than this QB and another HC/new offense. -

...I'm leaning that way. but Brycie isn't helping. -
If they lose the last three I will have hilariously nailed my 4-7 win preseason prediction in rather infuriating fashion.

He's not hamstrung by Young. He's hamstrung by his own intelligence or lack thereof. -

I mean that dude is a nothing factor. Canales will never give up playcaling, IMO. Another on the laundry list of reasons to fire him. He is a bottom 10% tier offensive playcaller. If he wasn't interested in getting an actual offensive playcaller in here(spoiler alert, he won't be) all the more reason to move on. -
I was a pretty good athlete in my day and yes, you can change your bodies trajectory while in the air. Funny gymnastics is literally based on contorting one's body while in the air. Look, he probably couldn't avoid the hit altogether, but he didn't even attempt avoid it. In that picture, he was obviously laying the wood, the opposite of trying to check up on a tackle.

The half pint pinto has to go for me. His ceiling is low and hes already hit it...not good enough. Followed by Evero and Canales... No situational awareness.... Still think DC is hamstrung with Bryce. Evero...just wow... bad. . -
at this point Bryce is Brenton Bersin and anyone that isn't ready to move on is Jerry Richardson. Dude is not a NFL starting QB. We can keep playing as one but it doesn't change the fact he doesn't belong. and yeah, Bersin could make a catch every now and then too.
-
We can all agree there is plenty of blame to go around for that BS loss(two losses, for that matter) but you can't win with a QB that basically only significantly factors into the game 2-4 times on average. I mean....this all has to end. We can't keep up this charade of "just wait it out!" He ain't gonna be fuging Baker Mayfield(what a joke). He ain't gonna be Geno Smith(who has 60% of a career to wait??). He ain't even gonna be Mr. Seeing Ghosts himself. He will be lucky to be Chad Pennington. It. Is. Over. The best these folks can do is just accept it.

This Bryce Guy (General BY Discussion)
LinvilleGorge replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
We all knew that 204 Combine weight was complete bullshit. Bro showed up and hid under a hoodie all weekend to hide the spare tire he was carrying around his waist from pigging out in the weeks leading up to it because his only purpose in being there was to step on a scale north of 200. It being bullshit confirmed when he declined to step on the scale again at his pro day after he'd trimmed back down to or close to his actual playing weight to do some drills. I don't blame Bryce for that, he was just playing the game. He just gave us permission to believe what we were dying to believe anyway. He probably is 190ish today after three years of NFL S&C and just a few more years of natural maturation. That probably means he was 180ish as a rookie.
