I don't think it's that he can't read defenses but that he can't see so there is no defense to read

And Seefart dumped Buerlein to make Lewis the starter. Proceeds to cut Lewis in the preseason, starts Weinke, the team wins the first game and then proceeds to go 1-15. Seefart gets canned and In comes Foxy and Jake and the rest is history.
-
We’ve had QBs in the past that wouldn’t let this happen. I miss having a Cam or Jake behind center. I also miss Rivera. Team ain’t had a winning record since 2017, and thinks after beating Green Bay and only being one game above 500 that they’ve arrived. What a joke

This is an opinion and not fact.
-
I’ll concede that. That is sort of my red line. Any pro coach, evaluator, etc, that believed in that guy is blind afaic. But in Canales’ position, the player needs to believe that Canales is with him. Whether Canales himself believes or not.
-
Literally false starts everywhere.
-
XL has never cared much about this. He "made it" on social media and that's ehat he cares about. Not football. That's just going through the motions for a paycheck.
-
I think they should see value in trying to win. Continuing with Bryce is the opposite of that. If Canales still believes in Bryce, he can leave with him, IMO.
-
This GB and Eagles game is going to be good!!
-
Again it really makes no sense to call him a bust when you have a QB who places the ball as poorly as Bryce.
-
This is sad and a direct reflection of our head coach. We all know rule 101 as a player is to not speak about issues with players or the team to the media. Multiple players are making comments, and it shows that Dave does not have the locker room. If what the players are saying is true (why wouldn’t it be?) Dave should be man enough to show the team that it won’t be tolerated. Maybe Dave is a little too comfortable with that 6 year contract that he signed and knows he’s good either way.
-
You can Canales and you break any continuity, again. It is worth waiting a year too long, to try and keep that IMO. Especially when all he has been ‘given’ to work with is a bust that most people knew was busting no matter what. I don’t believe any coach can transform a player that is physically overwhelmed. And Bryce is physically overwhelmed.
-
How do you give a poo when your team owner doesnt give a poo about getting a real QB room, your GM doesnt give a poo about your QB room, your coach is rah rah feel good aww shucks you fellas sure tried hard.

Nic Scourton On Panthers' Culture
Dave Gettleman's Shorts replied to Castavar's topic in Carolina Panthers
https://www.instagram.com/p/DQzVVkyEQLM/?img_index=1 the fact that this was going on during team meetings shows how serious they took this week -
I'm not denying that. But we're not talking about bringing in some elite level QB to replace him this year, we're talking about bringing in a guy off the street who can't stay on a roster. That's not really going to help this team much, if at all. Do you really think doing that to a QB they like is going to not piss them off? I get it, damned if you do, damned if you don't. But I think you'd lose the locker room significantly faster by benching the guy they like for a scrub off the street they don't know. They'd rather just play out the year with their brother and then start fresh the next year than still getting our asses kicked with a guy they don't know under Center.
-
I think there could be a group on this team that's not be as professional as you'd like or treat it like their business. Easy to spot the ones that it wouldn't be, but unsure who it is. And like some say, that also hints that Canales doesn't have the cultural baton per se. Seems like a soulless cheerleader running a bunch of kids.
-
Another reason I don't like these ideas, is that I'm 100% sold on Canales NOT being a good HC and someone we should keep around. Bring in a scrub off the street and Canales is able to turn in one or two great late season performances, and you're staring at exactly the type of thing Tepper would need to be convinced to give him one more season next year. How do I know this? Because it's EXACTLY what happened last year to have Bryce brought back for this terrible season. It's time to move on and turn the page from the Bryce and Canales era, just ride it out this year and start fresh next year.
-
I mean, it's obvious they spent the whole week planning Rico's stupid celebration instead of worrying about the upset.
-
I think you can see cracks in the facade of the offense. Carrying Bryce will weigh on them, no matter how much they may like him. They aren't stupid.
-
I don’t know how long Bryce would hold loyalty without any production. He goes another week like Sunday people will get antsy. PS Heinicke for me out of those names. I’d have seen him play well.
-
It's Heinicke I would be after or maybe Ridder. Middling, low end game managers but still should be a step up. If not....on to the next.
