  1. Past hour
  2. Ben Solak on Bryce Young: Panthers quarterback Bryce Young What a turnaround it has been for Young, who is the unquestioned starter in Carolina less than nine months after he was benched in the 2024 season. Young was miles better post-benching than he was before, but the hay isn't in the barn just yet. Starting in Week 5, Young was fourth in completion percentage over expectation (NFL Next Gen Stats) but 31st in off-target rate. That means he was connecting with his receivers on high-leverage throws deep downfield, which is explosive but also unsustainable. Confidence is high, though, and he has earned the right to build on his improvement.
  3. One game at a time just hope for a game 5 win.....
  4. Oh damn, my bad. Could've sworn it was a 3yr deal last offseason. Looking at the details now and it might effectively be just 1yr looking at the numbers for 2026. Team saves $6M and just accrues a little over $2M dead cap. Costs less than $4M going into this season. Got a feeling that we are gonna see a lot of Sanders/Evans when they put 2 TEs out there to see if they can move on from Tremble.
  5. It's coming soon according to DG. If you want to read about it, check out his ask a old guy segment at Panthers website. Honestly the one of the best ways to stay up to date on Panthers news, is going to Panthers.com..... times have changed..
  6. That is one phenomenally crafted obscure 90's PC game I have sadly never heard of. Reminds me a bit of a combination of two 90's films "Brainscan" and "Idle hands". But kudos and respect to folks bringing attention to retro classics like these that were far ahead of their time.
  7. Brother, Id call his ability to get open a gift. Cutting or changing direction while at NFL speed while the CB is completely out of the play....In my book that's a gift. Its mentally or physically labeled as well. Those professional CB that watch film know to respect prime Renfrow. Did you see what derwin james said about him? Check it out I think the lead up was list the best WRs in the game, James is madd underrated and elite said Renfrow was that guy. Now is that guy on the Panthers? I don't believe so, need to see proof.
  8. I read this as the Panthers found a loophole. Panthers guarantee 150,000-300,000 to 12 UFDAs. Simple terms- that's their new PS, imo. PS members make between 225,000-380,000 yearly. If they cut them and another team claims them, they take on the contract too, but that's as 53 rostered player. I love aggression used. The player pool is still in a odd state with NIL and coofus. There's lots of 23 and 24 year old players now. I think the only way this hurts the Panthers if the player is cut and goes unclaimed. Then the player signs with a different teams PS, but I believe there maybe an offset in salary. Maybe @Toomers can fill in with some input.
  9. he is by far the least physically gifted....but yeah, the only reason a team is willing to give him the option is because his route running is top tier. It's the best on the team. Now, that only gets you so far. Where Renfrow gets into a problem is a defender doesn't have to fully respect it all like they would with a WR that was more gifted by the physical attribute gods. But that's also how Renfrow has caught folks his entire football career.
  10. Right now all players count against the cap, everyone including IR, PUP, etc. Week 1 only the top 51 contracts count. Best I know.
  11. 2021 Renfrows ability to cut/change direction on the run was godlike.
  12. I found what I was talking about, have you seen/played this gem- It reminded me of that xfiles game, but this one is uhhh different.... keep pounding!!
  13. I guess this means more 3 WR sets. I echo the ???? about resigning a meh TE that needs back surgery....... He is only 24, but .... Maybe they will keep 7 WRs now....
  14. It's simple... If they compliment us we love them, if they fail to rave about our awesomeness, we hate them!
  15. He signed a two year deal in March of 2025… https://www.panthers.com/news/panthers-agree-to-terms-with-tommy-tremble-tight-end-free-agent
  16. Today
  17. Glad to see them playing it cautious. I wonder if this was due to the hit he took against the Bears that knocked him out. He was out for two games in the concussion protocol, came back for the Broncos but was listed questionable due to back, then missed two more games before returning to finish the season. He was also extended before last season started, so well before the injury ever occurred let alone when surgery needed to be discussed.
  18. Fine with me. Get the rookie and Sanders more snaps. Tremble is basically a bottom of the roster type of player. For some reasons the Panthers just absolutely love paying those types of guys at TE.
  19. Toronto won game 6 2-0 in Sunrise and Florida won game 7 6-1. Would love nothing more than to make this thing a series, but I also understand this isn't an uphill battle, but probably an upmountain battle at this point. I'll be rooting them on no matter what though, GO CANES!
  20. I'm just going to patiently wait for time to do it's thing....and the inevitable return of Ian.
  21. I am gonna say that this makes the TE drafted make a LOT more sense now.
  22. I don’t think we will be any worse. I think it really depends on how well the rookies play.
