  1. Past hour
  2. Curious indeed. We have to be eyeballing a C in the draft (guessing third round).
  3. Harold Fannin is a stud. No shame in getting passed by him on the depth chart, plus Njoku was banged up.
  4. I was talking about the team trading for a player with full knowledge of the medical history, getting clowned nationally for giving up too much, then finding an excuse with the “failed physical”. That is exactly what happened in both situations. And a “failed physical” basically means whatever the team wants it to mean. If there was a solid reason, the Ravens would give it, just like when they cancelled a trade because they found a tumor in the guys brain during the physical. That’s a legit failed physical and they were more than happy to provide the reason and not take blame publicly for no reason. There’s nobody anywhere saying Crosby’s rehab is “not progressing” and the only report we have, from his actual surgeon no less, is that he is ahead of schedule.
  5. Everyone knew Crosbys knee wasn’t going to be 100% till June/july. Sounds like the Ravens got cold feet. Couldn’t handle giving up two firsts when they could sign Trey and keep them .
  6. The assumption was the ravens were going to rework Crosbys contract and extend him
  7. Wonder if this impacts Raven's trades with other teams the next few years. I doubt teams will completely ice them out, but they could require the Ravens pay a bit extra for this bush league poo
  8. Having trouble finding all these articles saying the Raiders withheld information. Here’s the latest from Crosby’s surgeon: ElAttrache told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Wednesday morning that Crosby was "doing very well in the early part of his rehab and recovery from surgery to treat a significant meniscus tear and the related stress injury to the bone and cartilage in his knee. He is certainly on track in his planned program." "We truly respect the work of the Ravens' staff with Maxx regarding the contract physical exam. We also understand the challenge the staff faces when tasked to provide a future risk assessment based on an evaluation early in the recovery process," ElAttrache said. "This is especially challenging when dealing with an elite player like Maxx considering the level of commitment necessary for a team to obtain him. The timing of this assessment is unfortunate because the apparent risk will lessen as his recovery progresses and his return to performance over the next few months becomes clear." So the Ravens excuse is the future risk assessment based on the physical, not that the Raiders withheld information. They found an excuse to save face publicly. They had the right to cancel the trade for no reason at all, but they’re trying to save face with the most acceptable reasoning they can find. I’ve heard and seen the Ravens getting dragged everywhere for this. You know what would be an easy way to put a stop to that if you’re the Ravens and the Raiders were actually the shady ones withholding information? Just come out and say that you were not given all the medical information. But they aren’t saying that. I guess they’re just taking the bullet for the Raiders just because? Speculation indeed.
  9. Two first round picks for a guy with very questionable knees who will be 29 this summer. Yes it is safe to say the Ravens got cold feet.
  10. The salary cap is the reason we got Phillips and Lloyd
  11. The salary cap is a myth. We'll just move money around as needed.
  12. I think Hendrickson is far more expensive, no? Maxx's cap hit would have been $7 million this year. If they were planning on using Crosby's injury as an out and playing both sides to see if they could secure Hendrickson that was pretty sick. Ravens rep def going to take a hit though on dealing in good faith.
  13. 33-33 in mid March. I'll take that progress.
  14. I think once they realized that they could get Hendrickson for under 30 mill, they got buyer's remorse. Definitely doesn't look good for the Ravens
  15. OR they realized they could get Hendrickson for less money and keep their draft picks
  16. well, i guess Crosby's health issues were a real concern.
  17. This seems like buyer's remorse. They have a lot of holes and need those picks. I hope this ends up like the Dolphins and Brees and Max balls out for someone. Can they even afford Hendrickson?
  18. This is the type of poo I was hoping to avoid
  19. I hate saying things like this, but so far JT has proven to nothing more than a JAG. When he doesn't play it has no significant impact on the offensive side of the ball. Tremble has had some good moments and is not a bad guy to have on a NFL roster. I'd prefer him over JT any day of the week. That said, Tremble 's high cap number has to be taken into consideration. I could understand the financial reasons for parting ways with him.
