  1. Past hour
  2. 1st round - WR 2nd round - RB 3rd round - undersized Appalachian State player we convert to a position they've never played before
  3. Today
  4. The guy we want, won't make it to 19. Expect a trade
  5. Do you see the vision? As of now our Carolina Panthers don’t have an identity. We are not an offensive powerhouse and on defense we only started getting it together towards the end of the year last year. In my opinion we are much closer to having an incredible defense that scares the daylights out of people. I say the answer is simple and we fully commit to that possible identity. Emmanuel McNeil Warren (E man) This guy is like a shark lurking around ready to attack anyone. Fearless. He is easily a top 20 talent in my eyes, and the only reason he isn’t more talked about is because he’s from Toledo. Do your due diligence as panther fans and watch his tape I beg you. Once you’re done watching let me ask you this, if you dropped E - Man into the strong safety spot on the Buckeyes, he isn’t being talked about as one of the best prospects we’ve seen in some time given the skill set you see with this guy? I think so. Put his name on the card and turn it in at 19. Jacob Rodriguez High effort, High energy, High IQ guy that flies around the field. We all know Jacob at this point. My only concern is he’s a little bit too good and I’m not sure he makes it to us at our pick in the second. With the additions of Jacob and E- Man I think our defense goes to top 5 in the league. We would have a duo of linebackers that rival anything we’ve had in our past. I’m not a GM so I don’t know what the possible answer could be, but if there’s a way we can comfortably trade up in the second to secure this guy I think we find a way to do it. Spend the rest of our picks fixing the O - line. Thoughts Panthers fans? Who’s the ideal duo for yall?
  6. OL is arguably much more important to the success of a young QB. (Or any QB)
  7. Didn’t get around to watching this one but looks like Pistons played their starters and actually tried…? Unlucky that they sit vs Magic, etc and try vs us. Hopefully we can beat the Heat and then Magic or 6ers with no Embiid. BUT if not, the NBA really should give us the lottery win this year like they did Mavs last year. Another high pick could be our final missing piece and have us as legit top contenders next year and going forward if we’re healthy. Or trade it for a Giannis type
  8. You don't know if it would be the fifth best receiver or not. Keep it ! Whether any receiver gets catches or attempts will mainly depend upon if they're adept at getting open. Hell, someone in the second or third round could end up being the best receiver in the draft, and that's not a stretch because it's happened enough historically when you start paying attention.
  9. I was thinking more so if one of the top 3 wr fell to us I can see it being the pick. Anything offense related wouldn’t surprise me. If Bryce flops at least the next qb comes into a loaded offense and our window reopens if we land a qb.
  10. You're doing a lot of projection for a guy who has two seasons under his belt and can't seem to stay on the field. Not you necessarily, but I remember someone doing some calculations about Coker after season 1. I surely wouldn't count on it. If anything, it's another reason why we need another legit receiver. I know where you stand, but I'm just not going to agree.
  11. Carolina wins just because HeelsPanthersCanesHornets (j/k) is no longer here. Resume positivity.
  12. Interesting thought. I too have trouble getting a sense of who could be the pick @19
  13. Treydan Stukes is a DUDE Could have a meteoric rise IMO
  14. It is a scenario that was made for us. It’s like, a no brainer for me.
  15. @uncfan888The Wicked Witch is Dead. Sucks to lose this game, but still plenty to play for.
  16. I don’t think any of us expect a playoff series win from this unit. It’s been clear that we just want them to get in, and the next year forward we expect big progress
  17. I said it in another thread, but I think they would ideally like to move down to the mid twenties, get another 3rd, then take either another player in the 1st by moving up or take 2 players in the 2nd after packaging picks.
  18. I can see Cooper being a target. Wouldn’t be bent out of shape w a WR, but obviously not a preference if we’re talking position picked — but I’m just looking for impact. And man, this draft class is an odd bunch in our range. Has these really talented hybrid Slot/Safeties, McDonald (but I think I liked Tyleik more the other year), Faulk (huge work in progress), Saddiq (TE in R1?), and some interesting but wildly different profiling OTs. Our biggest needs: ILB, 3-4 DE, S/Slot (à la Branch), OT, WR, and TE The WRs here would be a notable impact add. I personally don’t have a position I am pining for. I see Thieneman, Cooper, McDonald, and McNeil-Warren as my faves right now but it could change. Iheanachor is a sleeper at OT over Proctor, Miller and others. A big eye-of-the-beholder year. It would take a major reach for me to be ticked with the pick bc there’s just too big a range of players, positions and types this draft. Unpopular: Honestly, I kind of love the idea of just trading up for Styles if he slips to 8/9. It’s not a year where capital is going to be lofty.
  19. I have wanted to do that since I first looked at the draft order and the crop of players. A lot of it is, just not that impressed with the selection we are likely to have at 19. And then when I learned how good some of these ILBs are I never bought that we could sit at 51 and get one. So trading back helps us have a chance to move up for one of those guys. To me it is a win win. Get better value with your 1st, and assure you can get your dawg in the 2nd? Yes, all day long.
  20. I would pass, dude is 30 and would require using a draft pick to get. Maybe if we were in season and having a better year than expected and see the need for a CB, but right now no.
  21. I was thinking the same. I think they are targeting guys that are going to be in the latter part of round one and early in round two. I think they would like to maneuver and walk away with 2-3 of these guys
  22. @LinvilleGorgeThis is the dude arguing with you in the UNC thread. Complete Troll, get him out of here.
  23. Well those are some bad scores for this evening across the east, and 76er's are up 11 points with 4 minutes left...Magic well ahead against the Bulls. Looking like we'll have to beat Miami then probably the 76er's to get the last spot
