  1. Past hour
  2. I'll say it - underthrown. Easy uncontested TD in the back corner but instead Legette had to slow up and make a great play to get it. I'll also say that it's a single throw in a random practice and I have paid absolutely zero attention to anything Panthers related in the past several months so my comment on this play is just that - a comment on this play and this play only. For all I know that might have been the worst throw of camp and whoever threw it (I assume Bryce) has looked like the second coming of whatever QB one may feel is the greatest of all time with every other throw.
  3. I actually think McTavish might happen now... It's gonna cost a lot but the Canes want to win now.. Talking a first round and second round pick plus a few high end prospects like Nadeau and FUS.
  4. great story. XL will benefit from coverage that will have to be focused on King Tet. He'll get there.
  5. He's been reliable for us. It's a crowded room though. And just saw this Edgar Salmingo, Jr. ✌ @PanthersAnalyst · 4m David Moore had the worst Average Separation Score of all WRs in 2024 and it wasn't close
  6. Haven't had a chance to listen yet but what a great name for a Panthers pod discussing/breaking down the team...well done!
  7. Yeah, never take much out of practice or preseason. Just hope you come out the back end healthy and ready to play when it actually matters.
  8. Today
  9. I’m still not buying anything from a joint practice. Rhule, Frank and Cansles all have had good days at joint practices. Seeing that translate elsewhere is still what we are waiting on
  10. I think Renfrow is pretty much a proven commodity at PR. He can do it. He also has a ceiling there pretty well established. He can make a guy miss but he isn’t housing one. They know what he is there IMO more than anyone else on the roster. I’d rather they just let Horn have them. He is the unknown.
  11. Practice is practice...i dont get too reved up about it....first 5 real games will tell me how pissed off I should be the rest of the season...Thx Icege for the work you do.
  12. yeah... I currently have 54 on my roster (55 counting Mwansa), and 1 of them is NOT Blackshear. I also think that we'll be all over the waiver wire for a RT, FS, and CB. I like our starters and 90% of our backups, but we have some glaring weaknesses even if the new guy ALL hit. 9 OL, 7 WR, 2 QB, 3 RB, 4 TE. 6 DL, 5 OLB, 6 ILB, 6 CB, 4 S.
  13. XL is a cool character...just get open and catch the fugging ball..
  14. Don't worry folks...Dipper got his eyes and big fat forehead and jawls all over it..
  15. It feels like Blackshear, Horn Jr, Moore, and Mitchell are all competing for those final spots... though I can see the team potentially taking a 7th DL or a 5th S if they land a guy like Kyle Dugger.
  16. Idk why y'all do this to yourselves. Preseason games are about as indicative as a day of training camp, maybe less considering both sides are just throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks
  17. Very promising to hear about the offense looking decent and the defense showing up. The pass rush still being a work in progress as Scourton and Umanmielen get their pro legs underneath them is going to be a thing but it sounds like Evero's disguised coverages are helping give the rush time to get there. I don't think we have the talent at ILB to consistently send a guy on a blitz in order to aid the rush, but with the improved secondary play (Hell yea, Corey Thornton!) I think we're going to see a return to more of what the team did in 2023 - 2024.
  18. Bingo. That's why it's critical IMO for Bryce to look good out of the gate this season.
  19. To be fair, the "games that matter" train has left our station pretty early for the last few years
  20. WR had been talked to death, general consensus is Moore and Horn are fighting for WR6... buuuut we might keep 7. Not trying to beat that dead horse. The reason I bring it up is because it affects how many we keep at TE and OL. Icky, Lewis, Corbett, Hunt and Moton are obvious starters. That's 5. For the backups we have Christensen who plays LT, RT, LG, RG, in that order. As they bring up in this podcast, he is the 6th guy in jumbo packages and, IMO, the only b/u tackle we have. I'm not sure Nijman makes the team over another team's veteran cut. That's 6. Mays is likely going to play center at some point given Corbett's history with injuries, and I'm OK with that. He did great last year and I honestly don't see a drop off if that happens. He also can play either guard spot. His natural side is on the right, but he'll be starting at left this weekend. That's 7. Obviously Zavala if he's healthy. That's 8. We need another b/u tackle (even if it is Nijman). That's 9. That's a solid OL room. On to TE. Sanders is a lock. James Mitchell and Mitchell Evans are neck and neck from what I've seen/heard. I really like Tremble if he's ready to go by game 1, but he's not doing himself any favors from the sidelines because Mitchell and Evans are making plays. Does he start the season on PUP? Do we carry 4 TE's? Maybe, if we only keep 9 OL. What are the chances Mitchell or Evans clear waivers? TE, IMO, has become the biggest roster battle on offense.
  21. I think we just fundamentally disagree on where he is at career wise. It was a pretty rough first year and we are in the golden age of rookie WR's showing out. To be sure he had difficulties to deal with outside his control but he still looks extremely unpolished. I am a glass half empty guy on XL and you are a glass half full guy. Hopefully we are on the same page in the 2026 offseason and it's the glass just being full.
  22. Oh yeah, I 100% agree. The bad drafts are what digs the hole deeper and deeper every offseason. It took a lot of work to get down to where we are. Amazing really.
