  1. Past hour
  2. Those are absolutely fair criticisms. You are definitely a lot more reasonable with your assessment of Bryce than others on here. A lot of people here are majorly downplaying any good plays he makes and refuse to give any credit where it’s due. Some others are just spewing vitriol towards our quarterback and I find it pretty odd, especially when we’re winning
  3. Put a claim in just so he doesn't end up in Tampa.
  4. Nobody in the market will be better than Bryce Young. Management will not want another Mayfield/Darnold situation. 5th year option is low risk/high reward
  5. I’ve stopped doing it when I had my last account because I would point things out on film and people would argue with video evidence. Evero runs a lot of heavy zone- mostly Cover 3. His system isn’t designed to rush the passer but rather contain the passer and get coverage sacks. When he blitzes it is very calculated. He hides this though multiple fronts. For example, he runs a 3-4 but will disguise the box with LBs and safeties to hide pressure. He will sometimes show a 4-4 or 5-2. For Cover 3, he tends to leave each CB in a 1/3 and disguise who he is leaving in the center 1/3. He sometimes does this by bringing the safeties underneath and sending the Nickel to the back of 1/3. He did this yesterday when he sent Ransom and got a sack. He will roll the CBs and Safeties too sometimes with the outside corner rolling inside and Nickel stepping to the outside corner from the slot at the snap but it’s less common from him. It’s Capers system but modernized.
  6. This is not at all relevant because he is not a rushing threat. Comparing one skillset means nothing. You may as well compare Bryce to Brady's third year passing stats which are closer anyway.
  7. @CanadianCat Soft paywall: https://www.matchquarters.com/p/carolina-panthers-safety-blitz-ejiro-evero That seems to be the best thing I can find that is actually in depth. Lots of surface level stuff but nothing about what really makes his version of that Fangio-esque defense unique to him personally.
  8. Not a need for us. If be surprised if we grabbed him. I'd like to stay young at the position. I really like our WR group
  9. If he cannot string together 2 good games in a row nothing is a certainty. That said I think the bye comes at a great time and we stream roll the saints who appear to be tanking. Then things get real. But if we are judging Bryce and the panthers future on the last three games then doesnt that tell you all you need to know? Didnt we just do this at the end of last year and we see what happened again at the start of the season? I would take the calculated risk of not picking up the 5th, cut dalton, bring a dude in and its imperative you draft a guy in the mid/early rounds If bryce blows up next year then franchise him or cut him a fair deal but really man what does bryce blowing up look like after we have seen him for 40 games?
  10. vs Matt Stafford's actual wide open that sailed out of bounds:
  11. The haters will say it’s photoshop or will double down and still call it blown coverage
  12. He was a Hurney first rounder.... No idea why anyone would expect differently.
  13. It's basically bend but don't break which has really become the go to defensive model in the NFL. That's why you see so many short passes. Defenses are allowing small ball while trying to take away the chunk plays figuring the more tines the other offense has to roll the dice (run a play) the more opportunity they have to screw up or for your defense to make a splash play knowing that the field gets easier to defend as it gets shorter.
  14. Would have to clear like 30 teams on waivers
  15. I was gonna post this exact same screenshot lol. I made this entire thread as bait bc I kept seeing people bashing our quarterback and giving him no credit for making these ‘routine’ throws to ‘wide open’ receivers. It was 4th and 3 with the game on the line and Bryce went for it all. I mean he threw McMillan open. All that space you see on the TV angle was created by the throw. I get he is frustrating and sucks a good portion of the time but the throws he made in those big moments today were tremendous.
  16. We are not locking him this offseason. It really depends on next year. I am sure we’re picking up that 5th year option though unless he plays like year one Bryce to finish up the season.
  17. that's probably not a bad guess. Not too far from home. Already used to the cold. Aaron Rodgers just flat out begging for a body that can run the correct routes....and in a legit division battle/something to play for
  18. I can see him heading to the Rams for a SB ring.
  19. For those wondering the teams under us have a shot at him first. However, good chance he goes unsigned and then just signs with a NE or Buffalo type team since he wants to be on a “contender” I would worry about KC and PIT
  20. He thought the vikings were a better team and it back fired on him. I wish him goodluck as long as he doesnt sign with tampa than *** him
  21. I want to be mad but we won, we got the picks and the record
  22. https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/week-13-recap-division-races-heat-up-as-the-season/id1528622068?i=1000739092345 1:21 two national guys talk about the panthers and the options moving forward with Bryce young, great listen
  23. Thielen against Tampa last year: VS- 8 rec 99 yards 1 TD @- 5 rec 110 yards 2 TD Total- 13 rec 209 yards 3 TD
  24. Steelers will probably claim him
